Woodgate and Bournemouth

Seems to be working out well for him at the minute. Great win for him today. His ”fücking beauty” whilst punching the air at the end there was great 🤣

we didn't give him the right tools to do the job, that's pretty obvious
I think & I've said before, his biggest mistake was saying his, teams will play high tempo, fast football when we clearly didn't have the players to play to his, system, he should have just said I'm hoping to build my teams to play etc

He didn't have the intelligence to work that out. He was there before; it wasn't like he joined the club and had to work out the type of players he had. All sounds amazing I'm sure I could've suggested that we'll play like Man City and dominate possession but reality is the players aren't good enough.

Agree he did mention that he knew the players at all different levels at the club so he really should have known that we were limited in how he wanted us to perform week in & week out

I'm not knocking him I just think he didn't help himself from the outset

On a hiding to nothing but we can go back to 2006 when we made the decision to give Southgate the job. We were in a position where we could've been in the Premier League for the last 14 years with a successful team and may have won something.

Would he have been offered the job at Boro without the promise of playing in this way? I thought that the plan convinced the club and also won over some of the supporters, whether it was tenable or not. But am not sure he would have been offered the job without promising to bring something new to our play.

In same period we have won 2 lost 3 and drawn one.

Again, and?

Middlesbrough getting beaten by Rotherham doesn't make Bournemouth beating Rotherham impressive.

Whoever was manager at Bournemouth this season, you would fully expect them to beat Birmingham and Rotherham.

The Watford win is a big one, but that's it so far.
