Womens World Cup 2023 in Oz and NZ

I think it's been an interesting game so far. Australia seem to be defending very deep and looking to hit on the counter.

Some pretty tough tackles from England. Surprised there's only been the one yellow, really!

Yesterday, I could watch the Spain v Sweden game on the BBC in France, today I can’t watch the Aus v England game. I am following the game through the BBC live reporting.

England do some nice passing and then give it away straight to an Australian player. If they keep doing it, I can see Australia taking advantage and getting a goal this way.

Ref is pretty poor, the number of late challenges on us not even given as a foul is ridiculous. We have to be careful with our challenges, because this ref will send one of ours off in a hertbeat.

Australia's tactic seems to be to pass it to Kerr and then hope somehow 50,000 children can scream the ball into the net

It might be different in the stadium, but I did find it funny how the build-up was about how intimidating the atmosphere would be with so many Australians.

It's probably just a pitch thing, with the different makeup of the crowd, but it doesn't sound it whatsoever.
