If the GOP had their way then "good guys with a gun" would be the biggest employment sector in the US.
A comedian trolled the head of the NRA at their conference last week by saying that nobody had done more than Wayne Lapierre in terms of sending thoughts and prayers to victims and if we all sent as many thoughts and prayers as he did then these shootings would stop. Lapierre knew he was having the **** taken out of him, but quite a lot of the audience didn't get the joke and applauded this guy doing the trolling.
I don't know how it will ever change as it is just as much an ideological issue with the GOP as it is about money. No amount of deaths are enough for the hardcore gun nuts to actually admit that they are wrong about access to assault rifles because it would be tantamount to them becoming something that they despise, namely a woke, cancel-culture loving, baby killing, non-racist Commie peado.
 
Have you seen the bloke addressing the RNA, saying that the RNA are doing all they can be sending hopes and prayers 🤣

How he can say it without sniggering as he takes the mickey out of the RNA i’ll never know
 
A lot of yanks value guns more than life.
Their politicians are shi.t scared of the NRA and the gun lobby so this isnt going to change. Ever.
Even if they did pass laws, there are preppers and amateur militia who are just waiting to kick off.
 
I’m not sure how many realise that SCOTUS are currently trying to pass a law/ruling that would effectively allow concealed carry in EVERY state as they are arguing that federal law in relation to the 2nd amendment supersedes state law.

This really would be a game changer.

Concealed carry as in without a permit so not even law enforcement know if you are carrying.

Imagine that.
