Wilder - We need a bumper crowd on Saturday

This really gets on my nerves this arguments about crowds, My son goes to the home games now and I pick and choose which ones I go to because of finances and other excursions etc on a weekend this does not make me more or less of a fan of the club. We all want our local team to do well but it's not the be all and end all.

What "excursion" is more important than the last home match where we desperately need to win?

Nobody is criticising anyone for not going to every match, but there are thousands keeping their heads down it seems for a crucial match this weekend.
I don't get it. There is no home match again until August, unless we make the play offs.

I dont think the argument has ever been that people who don’t attend ever home game are less of a fan. It’s more about the fact that some think the club should be putting on offers to sell more seats.

I remember under Mowbray all the ticket offers they tried, work initially but it quickly just becomes a race to the bottom where some fans won’t attend unless it’s on offer and ST holders see it as less rewarding to buy for the season.

Personally I think the fairest thing would be to lower walk up prices modestly.

Hope we get a decent number attending tomorrow. Really is our biggest game for a few years - bigger than Man U, Spurs and Chelsea.

This is tempered with the fact there’s bound to be many who simply can’t afford it but would love to be there. And this is understandable.

Hope the atmosphere isn’t as flat as Wednesday!

Am i alone in thinking a low crowd and bit of uninspiring atmosphere might help relieve pressure on us and deflate stoke who have nothing to play for might go through the motions (end of season, on the beach vibes) and not be pumped up if it was a big atmosphere.

Having a low, flat crowd and an awful atmosphere like Wednesday should not be on anybody's wishlist for us but Sheff Utd.

Agree 100%. Get the ground rocking and it can lift all the players. Perhaps Red Faction will adopt old chants and songs that everyone knows for tomorrow.

There's only about 320 seats left in the south stand. Suspect they will be gone by tomorrow.
Expect they will do their bit, with a bit of help from the SW upper.
Come on Boro!

Spurs and Chelsea had cheap tickets 😜

Crowd was flat, why not run a ticket offer, £10 U-18 £20 Adult? I know this winds up some season ticket holders but i'd rather see a full house especially for the last home game of the season with something still to play for
They put all remaining home game tickets on sale from March 31st so there was ZERO CHANCE of a last minute offer that undercuts people who bought tickets for the final home game 4 weeks ago, and ZERO CHANCE of an offer that undercuts the Season Card price-per-game etc etc

My Stoke mate says they’ve sold c800. So if match kicked off now there would be 23k based on home tickets remaining.
I’d imagine 24k by kick off and over 26k if Sheff U get beat, or even draw.
