Wilder delusional

Said on another thread on another night Matt Calrke scores two goals, who I really like the of, good with his feet & in both areas

IMHO, we were very unfortunate to come away without a point

Are we far away, time will tell, September will give us a good indication if CW has what it takes to build a promotion team

Both teams were on top at times. They have a lot more legs in midfield and better quality up top, Pedro is a fantastic player. But we absolutely deserved a point. Game was drifting to nothing and some time wasting subs/game management would of been great. Three last minute goals conceded already this season is a worry. We need another few players I think. Especially in midfield.

But he didn't. It's been the same story most of the season so far. If x had done y etc...

They had a 15-20 min spell first half where our midfield was over ran. We started much the better team until their equaliser, then they took over.

Second half, bar one or two half chances we were the better team - can't even remember Roberts having anything of note to do...... except pick the ball out of the net.

Individual errors and lack of concentration is killing us - not a woeful team performance.

Frustrating 😤😤

I know I'm clutching at straws here, if only etc, but I dont think our performance was as bad as some make out, we played well in patches, probably the better team in the second half, after soaking up a lot of possession from Watford we came back in to the game, I took plenty of positves from tonight

I think we definitely were on top second half. They blitzed us for the last half hour of the first half though - looked like that Pedro and Sarr would run riot but they did nowt second half. If Dijksteel hadn’t gone to sleep at the end everyone would be saying what a good performance - it’s fine lines sometimes

That game was 50/50 on virtually every measure. Neither team dominated the match, but each were on top in spells. We should have taken a point for many reasons.

We ended last season really poorly and have started this one with very disappointing results.
However, the rebuild required was massive and has taken longer than ideal.

Giles and Muniz both look really encouraging and big improvements, I'm confident about both.
IMHO it is too early to make big judgements on many things, though I am certain we looked better when Fry and Dijksteel were defending second half, Lenihan worries me.

I hope we get a good starting striker to partner Muniz, a couple of stronger, quicker midfielders and Wilder can sort out the back three which is leaking far too many goals.

We are losing too often, but losing like that always feels a sickener.
No excuses, we need to beat the mackems.

agreed, we played well for 90% of the game. The green shoots of recovery are visible, we haven't got the points our performances have deserved, but soon enough we will go on and win 5 on the trot, and absolutely spank someone 5-0, I'm sure of it.

Wilder was absolutely spot on. We went to arguably the best side in the division and we were the better team. Sure, we’ve messed it up again and we have to start getting over the line more consistently but on the reflection of every game if we had win them all nobody could argue.

Fine margins at the minute but surely it can’t be all doom and gloom!
