Wigan decision no later than July 28

Thank goodness we didn't end up in that 3rd bottom spot, relying on the EFL following their own rules. I'd be flipping sweating a bit now.

Did anyone really expect this to not happen?
These decisions about Wigan, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby could have been made over teleconferencing so there is no excuse other than the dragging of heels.

I think Paul Cook resigning is probably a good indication that the deduction will stick.

Though that could also be due to the firesale.

The decision was reported as being due on the 31st July before the season ended so maybe announced Friday or may drag over into Monday

I do find it hard to believe that Derby's stadium is worth £80m - it looks the same as ours. Ours cost around £22m to build including land, so there's would be similar cost to construct. (although the land prices will be different)

Price of commercial land in Derby will be higher, but its not a particular expensive place and the stadium is away from the Centre of the City. As a rough guide residential property is at average National prices - £218,000.

If there stadium in worth £80m how much is the whole club valued at £150m? I 've never heard of a Championship club worth £100m or more. Aston Villa was bought for £76m in 2016.

It is virtually the same as ours in fact when they were writing an article about the ground in their programme they used photos of ours with the seats changed to blue. What give the game away was early bird Boro fans sat in the seats that weren't empty.

They would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids. :p
