Why doesnt gibbo talk to the fans

It’s well known that Gibson has a new place near Kirkbymoorside called Ravenswick Hall. The plans are in the public domain. Fair play to him, it looks a stunning property.
He owns a house somewhere between thirsk and Sutton bank I believe aswell.

In the current climate of instantly gratifying info from social media it's an easy trap to fall in to. Expecting / demanding updates on a daily basis.
Gibson is probably a very busy man. Running a business and a football club. A football club that is in the throws of employing a new manager. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume putting out a running commentary on the new manager appointment process is a little way down on his to do list. Not least to mention the morality of commentating on what are confidential discussions between chairman and prospective future employees.

I too would like to hear more from our chairman. But I also understand that I have no real right to demand it. Like some on here seem to think they do.

Lets wait for an official announcement, and see how that is handled before everyone castigates the club's hierarchy for not appeasing the supporters demands for a blow by blow account of what is happening.

jesus!!!!!! , everyone & their dog know where his house is ffs , but the PR at the club is probably at its lowest at the min , no one ever goes & answers direct questions ...........no good talking to INVITED people like they do , have the guts to do a phone in LIKE YOU USED TO !!!! with non sycophants , you may get better feed back than from aspiring media types etc

Don’t think people want a “blow by blow account of what is happening“, more just an update of where we are, three weeks on from sacking Wilder.

Posted this on a separate thread, but the chairman needs to address the supporter base. Forget about those who twist his words, the fact is he hasn’t spoken of Boro in public since Woodgate was unveiled. That was over three years ago. We’ve had two managers and a global pandemic since then, we’ve signed about 45 new players, had countless new back-room staff, struggled with relegation form and promotion form, reached a cup quarter final, and are now looking for yet another manager.

It’s not about daily updates, blow-by-blow accounts. We’re talking years. Derby County pipe up and he’s a rat up a drain pipe.

I’m sorry but to have not heard a peep out of anyone running the club for over three years is absolutely shocking. It’s just really, really poor form. There’s just a complete vacuum of leadership.

IMO of course.

He’s not got anything to say.. we went on the three year plan with Karanka. He said we were gonna smash the league with Monk, then there was the golden thread with Woodgate. Kieran Scott was hired.. I’m guessing as a bit of a buffer between Gibson and the business end/criticism etc

Now we don’t have a manager snd he’s not going to take time out if his day to tell fans what they already know!
That’s basically it.

Because when he's done it in the past it has just been weaponised against him. "Smash the League", "Stockton is full of mackems", etc. So why bother?
Only when it’s not worked out.

No one quotes anything he said in the 94-07 era, and yet, he seemed to talk way more regularly to the press etc back then.

i suspect he takes a glance at football message boards from time to time and realises that there isn't anything he can say to such knowledgeable, informed, experienced, football linguistic people - who know everything there is to know about football and its management.

you are in the main, far too clevah (sic) for the poor fellah who can only operate 2 global businesses at a time.

he bows to your impressive credentials.
