The punishment is the extra hot butterfly chicken.

Not actually a nandos dish but a disciplinary technique brought in by Wilder. Details are kept under wraps, but rumours are it involves hot coals, a pogo stick and a red bull fuelled Leo Percovich.

Almost certain every player will be out whenever they arent training, most just wont post it on social media. Do we just expect him to sit in his hotel room for the rest of the season?
 
I completely see the points made about people having a private life and being able to do what they want to do outside of work.

However, you've arrived for a fresh start at a new club because you had off-field issues at your last club, the first thing you do is plaster all over social media that you're out on the town up in Newcastle - is that wise even if Covid wasn't still raging?

Just didn't seem the brightest thing to do on your first day at a new club that already has a squad that's been decimated by the virus. And his reputation just added to that. Thinks that's what got up a few peoples noses. But as I said on the other thread they're just daft kids and it probably didn't even occur to them that some people might react badly to that.

If he posted a video of himself in a fight you may have a point, but what is wrong with being out enjoying a few drinks? Sure almost all of the players will have done that over the last few weeks

Because he's arrived here with a "reputation" - if you want a fresh start you make it clear you're doing everything you can to put what happened in the past exactly there - the past.

Yes, this was my point last night, just a little bit of common sense required, I really hope this guy doesn’t upset the Apple cart, we have a really good togetherness, we don’t need a Jamie Tartt coming in.

Given his reputation he'd have to be incredibly stupid to not even consider doing this and plastering it on social media would be a problem.
 
It wasn't even really his first day.

He'd been on Teesside for days before being announced, and presumably the Covid outbreak at the club prevented him from doing much at Rockliffe.

At the earliest, his next game is on the 8th, so it's not like it's right before a match either.

I reckon quite a few players will have been being a bit more careful, given current Covid situation.

Most footballers aren't that bright mate. And most youngsters can't function without social media these days. That's what they've grown up with. I don't understand it myself but I'm fifty, not twenty one. They live in a different world to the one that I live in.

He's been around the professional game for quite some time now and clearly had issues off the field, I cannot believe he's THAT stupid.

I don't really see another explanation. Unless you think that he deliberately set out to pee off the club and a lot of supporters by having his girlfriend post that stuff on the internet. I think that the bloke just being young and a bit thick seems more likely than that.
