Why are most of Boro players not being vaccinated

Thought it would have been a must to stop the spread during games/training etc but according to Warnock when asked about Coulson...................

"He's (Coulson) got two more days with the Covid. We've a few little sniffs of the virus which we've got to overcome, we're still getting tested everyday. It's one of those things I'm afraid. For whatever reason, the majority of the players don't have vaccinations which I think is wrong but that's how it goes."

You'd think all professionals athletes would be double jabbed by now.

Especially in a team sport where you work so closely with everyone. I just presumed they would all be done.

That said I know 3 people who are double vaccinated and have it. So it's not the absolute answer we all thought it was going to be. Then again surely better having it than not.

It will certainly make a mockery of the football covid passports.

I am not sure I believe Warnock on this though, to be honest. It seems incredible if true.

Many friends who are double jabbed have had it, thankfully not hospitalised, but bedridden for days.

I can understand why players don't want the jab, given the long terms effects are unknown and they rely on the their bodies for their profession.

Don't agree with their view, but understand it.

Surely the risk of catching covid and ending up missing months plus the possibility of long covid is more of a risk than the vaccine though?

We don't know what the players view is though do we?

They might all believe the vaccine contains a microchip so the govt can trace you or that it's a magnet for 5g signals for all we know.

Solsjaer (spelling may be correct, or not, I dunno) is saying something similar about the man utd players So perhaps there is something in this.

I don't - because it isn't true but what is true is that as athletes they can't know what longterm complications there could be from getting covid. Many of their team mates have had covid last season, that alone you would think would make them get jabbed.
Neil Warnock did say that maybe fans could make their views known on this.

Casually dropping in that we now have one or two issues with the virus in the build up to an away game against a wealthy, relegated side? Having barely mentioned it in pre-season? Warnock? Surely not.
But he also went on to say he didn't want to make any excuses - although he wants us to be underdogs he wants us all to go into the Fulham game believing we can compete and get a result.

“Boles, hmm… you don’t know, he’s doubtful. Hayden’s been sniffing. We don’t have owt on the left now, d’yer get me? That’s why I let Marvin go. Sammy isn’t fit. Tav isn’t fit really. Even big Uche. Banged his head coming in yesterday. That’s the sort of lad he is. Jones? Too young. We need players in. The six we’ve got in? We need three more. I mean four. No, five. Are you with me? Steve wants to gamble with that really, with the South Americans. What was his name, Julinho? I think he wants another Jolinho! I hope we get a good ref on Sunday, me. I do. Jonny isn’t fit yet, no. Sivi? Too young. Fulham have got some squad haven’t they? Blimey. I said to Blackie, I said they’ve got two teams they could play when I’ve barely got one!”
