We have our answer....

What on earth is this 'manifesting' he purports to do? Magically appearing in people's kitchens?

He clearly dislikes his wife's cooking by strategically having breakfast and hour beforehand.

"I'm stuffed love. No, it was really nice, but I just had breakfast a bit too late!"

As for the gym opening earlier... That just makes me worry that times are tight for him and he does half an hour of cleaning in there in exchange for a free workout.

In November 1982, me and my fiancee (now my wife) went to Can Pastilla and Radio Norwich were appearing for a special Bonfire night party. The guests were winners of of a competition to spend Bonfire night in Can Pastilla. I kid you not, the DJ must have been the inspiration for Partridge. He set up around the pool with about 10 people, setting off fireworks and commentary straight from AP's text book. God knows what the Spanish thought of it.
I think he played alot of Abba as well.

I thought he loosely based it on "Pebble Mill at One " presenters, especially Alan Titchmarsh.
If you watch Stephen Dixon on Sky , is the closest thing to Partridge at the moment.

I think the co-writers of the recent Alan Partridge stuff said they bought as many sh*t celebrities’ autobiographies - people like Noel Edmonds, Alan Titchmarsh, etc - from charity shops and mined them for anecdotes. There was apparently a segment in Edmonds’ book where he wrote at length about the time he had dinner with Tony Blackburn and they talked passionately about their air purifiers.
