Many years ago my brother drove past Alan Shearer's house and saw him putting the bins out.

I have no idea why he told me this nor why I remember him telling me it.

I assume 99% of us here are men so the question is directed at us.

Me- Always. Both mine + next door.

My small, slightly built rather feisty 70 year old neighbour insists on bringing them back to the back of our houses.

I suppose it's me although we don't have a bin. People in the Orne have to take their rubbish and recycling down to one of the council collections points dotted throughout the countryside. When I lived in Touraine we had a bin but I used a handcart to take it the 600 metres to the road.

I've just put ours out. Kids too lazy and Mrs too busy telling me she does everything to notice everything I do.

Please tell me I'm not alone!
Ha yes, my Mrs also is pretty blinkered in what she defines as doing jobs. It seems it is limited to the stuff she does. Seemingly all the stuff that involves going outside, or in the loft, or with the cars or just generally sorting stuff out etc etc doesn't count...

I do it. Quite enjoy it. Last week was recycle week. So the Christmas build up was obscene. Several over flow boxes.
I was watching the Capitol Riots last Wednesday night (bin night) and her a rattle of an empty bottle and thought it was the cats.

when I went to put it all out later somebody had moved it all to the front. What a lovely thing to do for your neighbour

SWMBO does the bin and generally fills it , I sort and put out the recycling and deal with composting matters. Big stuff to Haverton Hill is my job also. Charity stuff we generally go together.
