I've said 4th-8th all season, I'll stick with that, 6th is the middle, so I've clicked 6th
 
I don't know. There has been a fair number of changes recently. We have probably improved, overall, but it really depends on how we react to losing lath and whether Conway and nacho can gather up that slack between them.

We will finish where we deserve to be. Chucking games and points away (as well as sneaking them) is all part of football.

We don’t deserve to finish in the top 4 because we thought we should at the start of the season. TBH I personally thought all those saying we would be up near the autos were talking nonsense. It’s a very hard league, some good teams were relegated and we had lost some big players. We also had no idea what Doak brought to the party and without him I would say this season we’d be bottom half.

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree that we will finish where we deserve to. That’s not the same thing as finishing where we should be, though.
I was pretty confident that we’d be challenging right at the top, in a similar fashion to Sunderland. I thought we bought well and at least tried to address the issues from last season - LB, CB cover, CDM. Shame it’s not worked out but I was very optimistic after the arrival of Conway, Borges, Burgzorg, Doak, Edmundson, Morris, and I feel that it was justifiable optimism.
 
So hard to say at the moment with about 5 new signings who will probably all start or get significant game time and will they gel in the 15 games remaining.
We are hoping that they hit the ground running but it’s hard as we saw at the start of last season.
I’m going to be pessimistic unfortunately and say we will finish 10th, about 5 points off the playoff spots and Carrick will get the sack in June.

That probably will happen, we have Derby at home soon too who couldn’t win coin toss at the moment but they will probably have read the ‘How to beat the Boro at the Riverside’ best selling handbook that has been doing the rounds in Championship managers offices for the last 18 months

Terms with my pre-season prediction of 4th - 8th, with 90% of people now agreeing with me.

4th is probably gone unless one of the top 4 go on a death spiral (not impossible). Still think we will make the play offs
 
I’ve gone 7th on here for the reverse psychology. We could be 5th at best and 14th at worst. It’s really tight in that mid table area and all the sides are capable of beating each other, none seem capable of stringing a run of results together though.

FWIW I thought 4th at the start of the season I believe, though I saw neither our amount of howlers, bad luck nor injuries (again) coming, nor the deckchairs good luck and admittedly good performances too.

I'd be willing to say 6th as it stands.
We'll have periods where we're sat in 9th with The Prisoner saying I told you so, periods where it looks like we're starting to open a small gap on sides outside the playoffs in 5th, but we're too inconsistent at either winning or losing runs to be sat in either place for long.

So we'll squeak home into the playoffs at season end, which is the bare minimum we'd accept I'd have thought.
