Think it will come down to how much luck we have with injuries. If we keep the squad fit I can see us making the playoffs but if we don’t then anywhere from 7th to mid-table.

With the squad as it stands now, 7-8th. A few quality incomings could change that though. I’m not reading too much into the way the team finished last season as it was pretty much over and the pressure was off. When it counted, such as against Rotherham twice! And the start of the season, they were found wanting.

Morris is unknown in this league, Howson is older and has already made mistakes in pre-season, Burgzorg apparently stunk out the place in Huddersfield and we’re an injury to Latte Lath away from being toothless.

Depends on injuries, we still look think up front and if LL gets injured we're screwed.

I think we could get top two without key injuries, but it will be tough and maybe not likely to assume that, so I'd say 3rd/4th.

I don't really fear any of the teams who have come down, or Leeds, and don't think the league will be as strong as last year, where as we have got better and more settled I think.

Combination of weaker teams and less injuries could see us right up there though.

Play offs has to be the minimum.

We will go well, certainly don't think we've finished recruiting (hopefully a quality LB arrives), but not sure we have enough gritt about us to grind out the results away from home when things are going against us, so for that reason I've gone for 3rd-4th

Play offs. Leeds & Burnley top two….Norwich, West Brom, Coventry and us play offs
Wouldn't be surprised to see this happen, but would stick Luton in the Top 6 at the expense of Norwich.

Who's voted that they see us finishing 13th/14th btw?🤔

Not getting carried away.
5th or 6th at best for me.

we need to start better than we did last season, bottom after 7 games with 2pts. we gave too many teams a head start.

I put 3 or 4 because I just feel there’s likely to be a couple of sides whose squad depth gets them over the line. However if we stay relatively injury free and have a half decent start then we’ll be capable of beating anyone. However we must, MUST start putting teams away at the bottom.

Definitely feel better for this season than the start of last season. As expected though.

This season not many ins and outs. Start of last season the best 5 players in the team weren’t there. I’m very hopeful.

I had a dream we win 1-0 at home to Swansea. Live Lathe Love with the goal early on. Put a cheeky £250 on it

Yes, Luton was my other thought along with Pompey as a surprise package….Maybe PAMH has made a comeback for 13th/14th prediction 😂

Pompey have suffered a big preseason blow.

Their main goalscorer, Colby Bishop, has some kind of heart issue and needs an op.

I didn't fancy them as a dark horse anyway, my Pompey mate is happy if they stay up, they certainly don't worry me now.

I'm worried about our depth at ST if anything. An injury to ELL and we could drop away.

If we signed a decent LB and a very good solid cover for ELL (Tommy Conway fits that bill), then I'd be very confident of a top 6 finish and with a bit of luck with injuries then a shot at top 4.

I do look at the competition at the top end of the table this season and it's a lot weaker than it was last season...but that doesn't automatically suggest we will finish higher.

Leeds, Burnley, Luton are the 3 teams I think look strong. But all 3 have question marks too.

Its still very early and there is a long way to go in the transfer market, and I am famously cautious in my predictions.

Taking all that into consideration I believe we will win the league with 138 points, and Latte Lath will score 60+ goals.

Anything is possible and luck always plays a part of course.

But I've got a good feeling about this season. I think it's going to click and we'll be top 2, or not far away at all.

Last season Carrick had a massive overhaul of playing staff (including losing 3 key players) and an unprecedented injury list. And still managed to get within spitting distance of the play-offs.

I'm excited to see what he can do with a settled side. Certainly won't fear anyone.

I think we are going up automatically, second...we have the squad, we have the manager....I think we are going to do it!!

We have a very good attack minded team.

Another CF and a left back if Bangura is injured long term, I think we have all our bases covered.

Straight out of the blocks this season, riding high before the annual post Christmas slump has us finishing in 4th.
26th Dec - 1st Feb
Over the last 5 seasons we have averaged 1.8 ppg
I'll settle for that if it's a slump (y)

I've put as down for 3-4, but with a good start, luck with injuries and a strong wind behind us we could finish top two.
