Ross County isn’t a bad shout.
Was scrolling down to give the exact same answer! The only place for him ….Scotland!
In fairness I think looking back it was a mistake to break up the Sporar/Watmore partnership. Sporar was just beginning to find a bit of form before the new boys came in and had become a bit of a cult figure amongst supporters.I would rather have kept things as they were in January in the top half of the pitch. Hernandez, Uche, Watmore, Sporar and Coburn. I would have used the wages/loan fee for Balogun and Connolly and focused on getting a proper goalkeeper.
If Wilder is honest I'm sure he would've expected a lot more from Connolly and Balogun (especially Balogun). Connolly's poor performances have nothing to do with height. You don't have to be 6ft plus to be a decent centre forward, as countless strikers have proved over the years. He's just an average player and I haven't seen anything to suggest that he will become anything more than that. I reckon he will fade away into the lower leagues over the next few years.
He’s too slow for that he has zero paceConnolly has a lot of good points, but sadly I think his size holds him back. It’s unfair to play him through the middle. Back to goal hold up play is nearly impossible when a foot smaller than your opponent.
He should play wide in a three. Which is what we should have switched to when Fry went off with Coburn the focal point
Can’t have happened haven’t seen the thread where everyone crucified himNoticed he was in the news (well if you can call it that) this morning about an apparent argument that led to police visiting his house last weekend.
Think Balogun will make it, have to remember he has played barely any senior games. Give him a few years and he will be a premier league playerLeague One, probably the same for Balogun, they just offer nothing
Obvious fishing.Would sign Connolly if we had the chance, convinced he will come good
I agree with you, he's definetly a good footballer. I'd take him.Would sign Connolly if we had the chance, convinced he will come good
Lunacy.I agree with you, he's definetly a good footballer. I'd take him.
How so?Lunacy.
You'd want to sign a striker who has one heavily deflected goal and another credited to him despite it being an obvious own goal at Brum. How so?
Yes I'd take him, there's definetly a good player in there but if we move on then so be it. I've seen it mentioned you wanted Gibson gone, I hope that's no longer the case because that would be sheer lunacy. You'd want to sign a striker who has one heavily deflected goal and another credited to him despite it being an obvious own goal at Brum.
This after 1028 minutes of Championship football and another 88 minutes in the FA Cup?
Do you really think we shouldn't be aiming higher and getting better than that in the summer?
FFS.
