Know he had a landlady, when 1st arriving at the Boro as a kid from Spurs. Also liked a night out at The Top Deck In Redcar, but not having a mate, telling me that he lived above the Saltscar pub in Redcar for a while?
He lived next door to a mate of mine on Chipchase road- we saw him a couple of times and were a bit in awe to be honestHe told a story at the last 73-74 former players reunion when he spoke fondly of his landlady on Chipchase Road & when he eventually moved out he bought a flat in Redcar, which, IIRC, he instantly regretted, missing his landlady & moved back to Chipchase Road, he eventually moved out not sure where to
Definitely corner of Lewis Road, if not it must have been Yosser Hughes we were talking to on the doorstepIt was the house on the corner of chipchase and roman rd. Mate of mine's aunt was his landlady (if I remember right). He used to kick a ball about with us.

Yeah, it was.Corner of Chipchase road and Lewis Road, we called for him once
Is your mate getting him mixed up with Jocky Wilson, an easy mistake to make, he used to stay in the Saltscar.Know he had a landlady, when 1st arriving at the Boro as a kid from Spurs. He used to go there with Phil Boersma apparently. He was a regular in The Kirk where he was always centre of attention as you might imagine
And, although it’s a long time ago now, a great example of what you can do with clever recruitment. For me, the best ever player for the mighty Boro
