Where did Souness live when at Boro?

Know he had a landlady, when 1st arriving at the Boro as a kid from Spurs. Also liked a night out at The Top Deck In Redcar, but not having a mate, telling me that he lived above the Saltscar pub in Redcar for a while?

Stuey Boam had the bungalow more or less next to the Cricket Field, but just struck me watching him as an analyst on Sky this afternoon. Never seen him sat so quiet as Keano went on his rave against Jamie Redknapp

Yeah Souey has always seemed to have a taste for the finer things in life? Eaglescliffe sounds a lot more plausible than the Saltscar. Evidently very disappointed that Gibbo never ever called to give him a crack at the Boro job when he was still managing?

He told a story at the last 73-74 former players reunion when he spoke fondly of his landlady on Chipchase Road & when he eventually moved out he bought a flat in Redcar, which, IIRC, he instantly regretted, missing his landlady & moved back to Chipchase Road, he eventually moved out not sure where to

He lived next door to a mate of mine on Chipchase road- we saw him a couple of times and were a bit in awe to be honest :)

Wasn't far from the Yellow Rose tho, in fairness............... :)

II thought it was the house on the corner of chipchase and roman rd (my memory of that time is poor). Mate of mine's aunt was his landlady (if I remember right). He used to kick a ball about with us.

My Dad was born on Chipchase Road.... well before Souness was there. GS said he didn't want to leave in 1977

I wonder if GS ever went to down to the Bongo Club - I just have this image of a 18 year old Chris Kamara home on leave from the Royal Navy, squaring up with GS over a lovely lady in the Club Bongo in 1975.

That would be unbelievable!

Is your mate getting him mixed up with Jocky Wilson, an easy mistake to make, he used to stay in the Saltscar.

Definitely number 53 Chipchase Road on the corner of Lewis Road.
Phoebe was his landlady.
My daughter bought the same house many years later.
She lived there for about 3 years

Think he lived out in East Harlsey too. My wife had family who lived out that way, and think my brother in law knocked on his door to get an autograph; think he got short shrift from the big man :)
