When will you get the vaccine?

My GP text me yae or nae - two weeks ago.
I text back "yes" and emailed them.

The Practice said "first come. First served" - to those in my health category.

Heard nothing until Wednesday when I phoned them and checked I was at the front of the queue.

They assured me I was, but said the Government had promised them to have XYZ supplies by a certain date, but the practice had then been told this has had to be put back.

So the practice are apologising on behalf of the Department of Health - who were shouting their mouths off for publicity purposes - but hadn`t checked logistics!

So its hurry up and wait.(n)

Assumes an effective roll out plan 😱

Been chatting to my medical mate today. A GP practice was sent their vaccine doses and the instruction was clear. Vaccinate as many as you can and, if any left, do yourselves.
His 25 year old nephew is in his first year as a doctor in Edinburgh. Has been told he will get vaccinated next week.
Meanwhile lots of health workers in other hospitals all over the country haven’t received their supply.

We are leading the way and were first to market tho
