When will the riots start?

Why don't you just do it at the ballot box when it's time? Thats how we do things, not violence, just vote them out. May elections are around the corner, thats the best way to make them "sit up".

Nah. It's gone beyond that. They have no respect for laws and due process. Yiu can't fight someone who is dismantling your political process by voting

Come off it, if riots start you lose, you become the enemy crippling the country and millions will just forget Boris and blame you (us), the ballot box is the only way, this government listens to whoever shouts the loudest and pays the most. A terrible may will mean changes happen. Also, I hate to break this to people, but sadly wrll more than half the country will agree with the immigration plans!!

I really doubt more than half the country are racist. We are truly lost if thays the case.

But you're wrong. The time for protest is now.

Voting doesn't work when you you have MPs quite openly stating the we work against a democratic result, will not stand by manifesto pledges and will not support the leader of the party. Voting doesn't work when those that are voted in to represent the people have self serving interests that are damaging to the public at large.. not only that these 'representatives' in fact become dictators. Highly dangerous and highly damaging.

I am in no way suggesting, advocating or condoning violence in any way shape of form. But what we have right now cannot carry on, we can't have folks going to work all hours god sends, fearing for their jobs, cutting back, cutting back and still struggling to put food on the table. All of this whilst our politicians are quaffing the finest, filling their pockets and breaking all amount of laws. It cannot carry on. They are not fit for office. Boris Johnson should be out of a job if not in prison. Rishi Sunak too!

I cannot for the life of me see a competent fit for purpose individuals in conservative party right now and I'm not sure what purpose the labour party are serving at all.

Who's talking about 'crippling' the country. Thats scaremongering.
Peaceful protest has been the last resort for many populations stuck with lawless authoritarian regimes.
Look at Ukraine.
Look at East Germany.
Look at Tunisia.

And I don't accept that more than half the population agree with deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda.
I suspect many want sctrict curbs in Immigration but only because they're stupid enough to believe Tory lies peddled by right wing rags.

We know this, we know the uk public swallows the tory rhetoric, you weren't talking about peaceful protest, you were talking about an uprising lol. I'm just saying the ballot box is the best way to damage them, mobilise everyone to vote, the trouble is for example we get thousands of students and young people protesting every year about something, but they never bloody vote!! Instead of encouraging them to chain themselves to a goalpost why don't we try convincing them to vote these ******* out. BTW peaceful protest is fine, do both!!!
 
A lot of sociologists predicted civil unrest due to the covid lockdowns, not sure that still applies, but given that standards of living are falling too, I think it's a distinct possibility, even a probability.

You are right that we should not riot, but then I am not struggling to feed my daughter. Where I disagree is that more than half the country will agree with shipping refugees to Rwanda. It may be that 50%of those that vote may support the policy to some extent, but I can't see that either.

I don't see the policy getting through both houses though.
 
They tend not report a lot if things that doesn’t suit a certain narrative . There was a lot of people in London for one protest yet a media write up showed pics a only a few people .

I think that new Italian bird will keep us entertained and shake things up for the right reasons . She’s already poked a stick at macron
 
just had a fellow UK state pensioner msg me that there will be riots if Truss doesn't raise pensions by the Sept CPI - more or less 10%. Like me her state pension is a small percentage of her total pension. FFS.

"The zimmers united will never be defeated"

I hope the riots are in a place with adequate toilet facilties.

And, yes, I would quite happily forgo my state pension rise if I knew it was going to state-only pensioniers.

They will be known to history as 'The Werther Riots'.
 
London has always been a city of riot, and very disturbing for those outside.
