What would Karanka do?

Would he change a relatively successful back line? Would he stick dogmatically to his formation despite the need to tweak now and again? I think Karanka and Wilder are quite similar in some respects.. Karanka stubborn spikey and defensive at all costs. Wilder stubborn, single minded and attacking at all costs.. seemingly.

Karanka puts on defenders when we’re 2-1 up to see the game out. No doubt he brings in Ethan Ampadu (Chelsea loan) and nudges and grunts until he has the players he needs..

MF Nathaniel Chalobah - Fulham
MF Teddy Teuma - Union SG

ST Emil Riis Jakobsen - Preston
ST Jorgen Strand Larsen - Groningen

Dijksteel—Fry—McNair looked pretty good at the back. I get we’re missing the LCH (like last season) and the defensive midfielder (like last season) we’re missing Tav but we need to find a way to win until we bring in reinforcements.

Two proper centre backs. Two solid midfielders. Defensive square. Attacking fullbacks. He would love Giles and Jones, though he would probably play Jones at RW. People underestimate how attacking and how important to a Karanka team the fullbacks are. He had nsue (played centre forward for his national team) playing there and George friend. He would love Giles. Mcgree is a Karanka number 10 all day long. Then we would have two of our strikers in the team. One playing centre forward, the other taking up a wide position.
 
He would probably have Jones wide left, McGree no 10 and Watmore wide right, with the strikers all competing to be no 9. McNair and Howson would be the two sitters and he'd have Fry and Lenihan CB.
 
Adomah, Friend, Leadbitter, Nsue, Stuani, Rhodes, Ramirez, Ayala would all walk into our current team in their prime we are far from a 1st team with that quality and therefore far from a top2 team

DM De Sart/Zucullini/Chalobah
ST Stuani/Kike Sola/Rhodes

De Leat and Amorebieta never put a foot wrong as I remember. Chalobah was great and Stuani was unreal!!! De Sart and Kike Sola didn’t really come up with the goods.

For Greaves and Choudhury see De Leat and Chalobah. I’d be happy with an Amorebieta and a Zucullini. Paul Dummett and Xavier Simons maybe?

Larsen is looking like the Stuani signing of the Summer.. Rhodes would be Gyokores tho.. right? Are we gonna end up with a Kike Sola to plug the gaps? (Emil Riis)
