What would Karanka do?

He would pick central defenders on their ability to defend rather than attack. We would still have lost yesterday under Karanka though, can remember a few narrow defeats to un fancied sides under Aitor, Rotherham away for example.

I actually think we aren’t far off, especially at home, where we could and perhaps should have won both our games. Aitor would certainly have seen the game out at Stoke though.

Not time to rip it up just yet, but anything less than two wins out of the next three and it might be!

He hadnt the bottle and left us in the muck.
Played for a draw every time, with the odd fortunate three points.
Agnew was given the impossible task of pulling together a divided dressing room - no chance.
Agnew was not the right appointment.. neither was Monk or Pulis

He'd grab his phone, go to the loo and have a nice relaxing poo while anonymously trolling the Boro message boards. He'll come out refreshed and like a new man.

I loved karankas time here. Loved how solid we were. Loved McLaren too. Never really give a damn about pretty or exciting football. I like to see us win. I think this is what happens when you just get to away games. You can go years without seeing a win.
But yet both them managers won games ugly but more so with attacking and quality play.

Also both managers where aloud to build a team they wanted so again I would say be patient wilder will get it right.

Would he change a relatively successful back line? Would he stick dogmatically to his formation despite the need to tweak now and again? I think Karanka and Wilder are quite similar in some respects.. Karanka stubborn spikey and defensive at all costs. Wilder stubborn, single minded and attacking at all costs.. seemingly.

Karanka puts on defenders when we’re 2-1 up to see the game out. No doubt he brings in Ethan Ampadu (Chelsea loan) and nudges and grunts until he has the players he needs..

LCB Kourtney Hause - Aston Villa
LCB Tomas Ribiero - Grasshoppers

MF Nathaniel Chalobah - Fulham
MF Teddy Teuma - Union SG

ST Emil Riis Jakobsen - Preston
ST Jorgen Strand Larsen - Groningen

Dijksteel—Fry—McNair looked pretty good at the back. I get we’re missing the LCH (like last season) and the defensive midfielder (like last season) we’re missing Tav but we need to find a way to win until we bring in reinforcements.

The graph doesn’t lie!
Who gives a toss what he would do, he hasn't been here for years, and did nowt anywhere else !

He'd probably sign Guedioura yet again and then cry about it in his presser.
I hardly think the bloke from Watford was his answer. That was more of a case of him not getting backed sufficiently in the January window, the recruitment team not making the best fist of it and thinking "Schit, we'd better sign someone, anyone, or else the fans are going to be kicking off."

Sure, sure... and then when he signed the same player again at Forest that won't have been his fault either.

It's great for managers these days. Any signings that work out were all theirs, any that don't were the recruitment team.
