What value would you place on DJed Spence and Coulson?

hahhaha was funny reading that back, quite happy with my valuation of between 7 and 9 mill. Then again, I would never have said that at the start of this season. Much less
 
Especially liked CtC's comment 'How have we struggled with such riches'. In a parallel universe somewhere we are preparing for Champions League Football next season 🤣

I never commented at the time, but I wouldn't have valued Spence anywhere near £20m last season.
I still wouldn't, but it looks like we're getting it anyway 😂
I'd have snapped your hands off for £5m at the time of the question.

I've never rated Coulson, and it looks like he'll probably leave on a free.
 
Valuations like any asset are what people are prepared to pay to acquire. It means little that somebody doesn’t value a player £xm because they aren’t paying.

When Adam Webster went to Brighton from Bristol City for £20m two seasons ago it was clear to me at least that premier league clubs will pay eye watering sums for good young prospects and Spence for me as always been one of those players.

So yes £20m was and is the expected amount we would get.
 
Looks like Djed’s having the last laugh here, but at least for once it’s not at Boro’s expense. I’m probably the only one who thinks Coulson could be worth a try at left wing back next season, defending not his strong suit but he would probably suit Wilder ball

I would like us to give him try thought he was decent going forward under woodgate definitely one of our better players at the time
