What value would you place on DJed Spence and Coulson?

Spence has been linked to Spurs, West Ham and Brighton. I think he a brilliant player and he will play for England one day. 18m in this current market?

Coulson has been linked to Newcastle. 12m?

We need a massive rebuild. Out of the current squad I would only be disappointed if we lost Spence, Wing, Tav and Coulson.

I'd even drop Wing from that list Bear - I know we disagree.
It is exciting to think there can be a future with better players on more sensible contracts, wanting to be here, playing for the Club and fans; because we will go up if we do.
 
I think Wing has lots of positives and would do well under a decent manager. I thought Woodgate put too much responsibility on him to be our only midfielder with some creative capability.

I really hope you are right Bear.
My concerns are that the lad is so slow and his legs don't seem to move. I'd love to know what his athletic stats are compared to other players - and sadly modern players have to be able to run long and fast. He's either woefully out of condition, or his body simply can't do whats needed.
Skills, vision and shooting are on a different level to the likes of Saville and McNair; but you have to be able to move.

He isn't the quickest (!) but I think he is good at foreseeing what might happen next. He picks up a lot of second balls by being in the right place.
 
Realistically - £10m for Spence, £4m for Coulson

Of the two Id rather keep Coulson personally but if we could get that sort of money it would pay for a good portion of the rebuild.

If Warnock stays I think he will be looking to bring in more experience - the issue will be the wage bill not transfer fees

As I said on another thread they're only worth what people will pay, I've not seen enough of either to Warren more than £4m each & that's because if their age & potential
 
I honestly think both could be £40+ mill players in normal market conditions if they reach their potential but at the moment it's probably 7 for spence and 4 for coulson.

If we sold them for that I'd expect at least a 50% sell on clause and ideally a loan back to us for a season or 2

If they reach their potential...which they wont with us playing in the championship. No player will go for £40m unless he is doing it at the top of the prem and in the champions league

Hence the sell on clause, I'd hate it if we lost them to Southampton, sheff u etc for a few million and then they went to man u/Liverpool for 40 Mill a couple of seasons later.
 
Looking at what the likes of Lloyd Kelly was sold for last season, there's no reason we shouldn't value them both at £10m+

Whether a club would pay that is another matter. But both of their potential is quite high.
