What the Chelsea game confirmed about Isaiah for me

Jones is an excellent wing back, but I think all our signings have been made with 4231 in mind.

343 only leaves you with 2 attacking midfielders / wingers either side of a centre forward. We have about 6 of them now!
 
out of contract next summer so we will have to start thinking about what we do next. renew or sell in the summer?

Carrick isn't going to change his preferred system to accommodate Jones.

He's a better RAM than RB.

He either plays RAM or doesn't play.

In the odd couple of games we play wing backs then it's a no brainer that Jones will play

When Forss is fit and firing though I see him coming in for jones and he won’t displace McGree either
 
I think Jones is a little bit like downing in that he burst onto the scene, and now if he isn't putting the fullback on their **** five times a game some folk think he's rubbish.

He seems to be much more highly rated by opposition fans and pundits than our own. He's a very good winger. His work rate is outstanding. He is also good at defending and has made numerous game saving tackles for us. He is playing in a modern passing team, which means he isn't going to be trying to skin the defender each time he gets the ball.

He was made man of the match by neutral observers on Tuesday, who felt he got the better of levi Coldwell, who many are saying will be the next big thing for England.

Nobody in this thread has said he’s rubbish, he was excellent on Tuesday. I would like to see him play as a full back.
 
Always amazes me the amount of discussion about Jones. Got to be one of first 3 or 4 in team. We have a lot of poor players we are carrying, and people constantly bleet on about the guy who worries defenders and helps out his defence so much.

You voiced them over and over again though. It wasn't even too say he had a poor game but to suggest he would never be good enough. Now with the op you had to expect some stick and, as I said, well deserved. Imo of course.
