Unless he's really tall obviously with fancy tattoo's, then theres no red flags.......I definitely
Wouldn’t buy a CB because he scores from
Corners either

Weirdly I was thinking that tonight...he seemed a bit headless chicken like...rushing round achieving very littleO’Brien isn’t the answer to any question we have in midfield, he’s arguably worse than barlaser who is no where near what we need.
Whatever he did 2-3 years ago for Huddersfield he’s shown none of it for us.
It’ll be more than 4mI expect our budget to be around £4m
That would give us three right backs…Tommy Smith, Ayling and Drameh. We don’t really have the budget for that kind of depth.
I'm with you on youth Ash .Drameh would be a free transfer on relatively low wages, and I'd sell Dijksteel so we'd be one in one out.
I think with Smith and Ayling - two of the most experienced right backs in the league - we'd benefit from having a young right back to learn from them.
Plus i think ayling would comfortable as an emergency centreback or right of a 3 asuming McNair leavesDrameh would be a free transfer on relatively low wages, and I'd sell Dijksteel so we'd be one in one out.

Agreed. We already have Smith on the books. Doesn’t make sense to bring in Ayling and then and another right back. You either bring in Ayling or Drameh alongside Smith.I'm with you on youth Ash .
Drameh , or Danny McNamara on a free , or Norton Cuffy Kesler Hayden on loan to buy and either Smith if fit OR Ayling , not both .Ayling would be an expensive sub , so Smith as back up to the younger lad . BN Cuffy with McNamara as back up would do me.
what if we are skint , and no money is available ? We sell Dieng and Glover ,Dijksteel, AND Mcgree and Forss , Paddy goes , the 4 loans go back .Drameh would be a free transfer on relatively low wages, and I'd sell Dijksteel so we'd be one in one out.

We aren’t that skint….but yes there are some decent frees availablewhat if we are skint , and no money is available ? We sell Dieng and Glover ,Dijksteel, AND Mcgree and Forss , Paddy goes , the 4 loans go back .
Brynn and Hemming GK, Mathew Ryan Loris Karius free
Cody Drameh or Danny McNamara LB free
Jake Cooper CH free
Max Lowe , RN Davies , Charlie Taylor , Sam Byram , Sam McCallum RB free
Alan Browne , Alex Mowatt ,CM free
Callum Ohare , LW free
Tyrese Dolan AM free
Finn Azeez RW free
Sam Gallagher , Ollie Mcburnie CF free
Would that suffice to get us up next year ? I think it would, good mix of quality and experience.
I think we need more goal threats on the pitch. Not having Forss is a massive reduction in goals in the side, if we don’t play Forss we need a cm that scores of a new LW that can get double figuresI want to see a couple of young central midfielders. Ideally with pace/strength and ability to play simple passes well.
I think Bangura/Engel with a full pre-season will be good enough.
I would like a new right back - think Ayling has been a good stop gap, but would only bring him in of he was willing to be a cheap back up that is good for the dressing room.
An attacking player that can play 10/false nine striker (Like Rogers...). Expecting them to start as back up and challenge Azaz, Lath, Coburn.
I'd be happy starting the season
Dieng
New Rb
VDB
Clark/Fry/Lenihan
Engel
Hackney
New CDM
McGree
Azaz
Jones
Lath
(I'd actually like to see us start McGree as 10 and Forss off the left, but don't think Carrick will try that)
Mostly look for development from within the players we have aim to slowly introduce some young players we bring in.
Yeah - we need goals from the 3 behind the striker.I think we need more goal threats on the pitch. Not having Forss is a massive reduction in goals in the side, if we don’t play Forss we need a cm that scores of a new LW that can get double figures
We don’t even know if smith:
A - will be fit at the start of next season
B - will physically be able to return to his previous level of form and forness
C - having such a serious injury at that age, is able to continue his career at all
I guess the club have to plan for an all those possibilities.
