What do I put on my toast

I only discovered Avocado toast lately . That’s scrumptious
I cant believe it took two pages before avo was mentioned.

My go to breakfast in the mornings now is to smash a ripe avocado into mush, add lime or lemon juice and sprinkle some chili flakes into the mix.

Then spread on your toast. My breakfast heaven.

Sooo wrong, cold avo on warm toast, never worked for me, I love both but not on the same plate.

Although I will give you I’ve already endorsed cold fish on toast in the post above.

Haha you eat cold fish on toast and say cold avo ( the only way to eat it frankly) is wrong? You don't know what you are missing. The child flakes just had that zest. Love this on bagels too with a rasher of bacon.

I’ve had it a few times and fully expected to love it, just nah for me. I assume sourdough toast of course 😉

Try it with a dollop of harisa paste mushed into it, spread on toast with a poached egg on top 😋........ and drape smoked salmon on it for that special occasion
 
beans and mashed up plain crisps with a dash of HP ,,,, chop the toast up into small squares as well and scoop up with a spoon.... egg on top for extra fill. Cant understand cutting toast with knife and fork when it could be cut into bite size portions pre-eating.
 
Brussels patè with another slice of toast on top. Toasted patè sarny. Lovely.

I sometimes use a jar of cheap beef paste uf its close to payday.

Child flakes, that would be barbaric, hot or cold 😳
 
We don't have a toaster at work. They've been banned on health and safety grounds. Some bloke at the cabinet office managed to set the kitchen on fire once and that was curtains for toast for thousands of civil servants. Personally I think they should have kept the toasters and sacked the bloke who was too stupid to make toast without setting the kitchen on fire. If you're too stupid to make toast you're too stupid to run the country. Our toastmaking has been contracted out to benugo who instead of selling us toast sell us bagels for a fiver. Quel F***ing surprise as the French would say.

So in summary peanut butter.

I work in the civil service and we have toasters all over the office. Plus an oven upstairs. Comes in great when we have a buffet as we can cook up hot food pizzas, spring rolls, whatever you like on a buffet.

Saying that I have worked from home since May so not had a good work buffet in a while
