Do not attempt to make cheese on toast in a toaster, your fellow workers will not thank you. Instead buy a toastie bag and make a toasted cheese sarnie.

Hummus does indeed work well.

Alternatively, "Seriously Strong" cheese spread with crispy onion / bacon sprinkles.
