What did the riverside stadium cost to build?

I think most have nailed the cost, amazing value really.

I remember thinking the Principality Stadium being decent value for a much larger stadium in the centre of a capital city at around £120m. I think we played there once, can anyone confirm this?
I think I spent a leap year day in Cardiff once but my memory isn’t good these days

From memory is cost £15m and filling the corners in cost £5m.

We got 1m for selling the site of AP.

19m for a 34k seater stadium is a bargain.

The new Everton stadium is going to cost 750m.
We sold the plans to Derby for their stadium too! Not sure about Darlington Stadium.. but it looks similar.

10 year sponsorship.. £3m

Did we get sone lottery funding? Sone regeneration funding?

Could do with another sponsorship deal!

I seem to recall the TDC ( the government quango at the time) paid for the land including remediation and the roads drainage etc.

£16m initially and I think £6m for the corners in late 1998.

I would like to see the outside cleaned or resprayed. Its almost light grey now and originally was bright white.

Was it not so cheap because we got the land for a pittance?

The Everton one from memory they have had to reclaim land and either some of the bigger so called big 6, they have had expensive land purchased in high value land areas ..

But still I think the same for something that will be used to capacity for less than 30 days a year it’s some big investment
