What did the riverside stadium cost to build?

15 mil is number that popped in my head, I think Derby's cost maybe double that amount if I remember right. Our ground seemed to be very cheap, not sure if that was because land was cheap and haulage costs would have been lower maybe?

It’s been a great investment. I personally think it’s holding up well nearly 30 years later as well.

Some people think it’s a bit dated / shabby now but I don’t really see it myself. It’s a football stadium not a cinema.

Only thing is the concourses are too narrow. I wonder if we could extend the concourses out a bit into the north / east car parks?? (If we got promoted and had LOADSA MONEY)

It only cost the club £16M because the roads, drains etc were built with grants from the Teesside Development Corporation and Europe (pre Brexit) as they were building on development land. It still only took 32 weeks to build! From what I remember, the land had to be cleaned first of chemicals etc.
