What can you buy with £37 billion?

it's "have" I've told you once.

How much, as either percentage or total cost, do you believe has been spent on testing? and how does that compare to other countries?
It’s really good compared to American 😉

i think the last time I read about it something like 85-90% of the cost was for the tests

What's your source? That seems an awful lot of money to be spending on testing. Compared to what other countries are spending. I would question that.

Yeah it also includes other costs but some people seem to think if we didn’t have the app it would of saved 37 billion
I don’t doubt it would’ve cost a significant amount of money however the bit you’re missing is it DOESN’T work and has failed to track people throughout this. It’s a scandalous waste of money.

I’m not missing anything. I’m not claiming it amazing and good value for money just saying it didn’t cost 37 billion

According to the recent public accounts committee report, the system is still paying for consultants at £1000 per day.

Anyway, I’d spend the 37 billion on AZ vaccine doses which at £3 a pop would be enough to offer every person (adult or child) on Earth one dose, with 4.7 billion doses left to start the second doses.

I imagine that's a familiar feeling with you!
You asked for some information so I had a quick look for you out of the goodness of my heart so no need to be a (Admin edit: no need to be abusive either ABHBORO).

I’m dyslexic and posting on forums like this is quite difficult for people like me and small minded people like you who keep picking at spelling mistakes and tell people to read more make it harder

If they'd used the open source system that Canada and a few other countries used, it would have cost around £700,000 to deploy nationally. So £11.3bn saved over what the Serco platform cost.
Where is the 12bn serco cost coming from? Because if it’s costing that much without test I’d like to read it

Infosys would have done it at cost a little over 70000,plus hardware to host the servers. Infosys offered this to every government in the world

Didn't know that, but having worked with Infosys in the past, that cost would likely escalate with add-ons.

Since I read this a while ago in the media and I haven't bothered keeping up with it since, I'll retract that as I'm wrong. According to fullfact, the Serco spend is £277m, so a saving of £276.3m could have been had using the open source.

Thanks for keeping me honest :)
