I know normally we couldn't attract a player of his quality but he's 30 and hasn't got a club.Staying fit training with West Ham.
He's not earning any wages at present so any deal we could put together would be a + compared to nothing.
One yr deal so he can go for nothing if he has a good season.
Carrick must know him so that might help.

Or just a load of b***ks because he will be signing a mega deal somewhere soon ?.
 
There is a reason why he had not got a club. A pay as you play contract is the only way with him. But it's a no, really.

You know when they sent Clement Atlee to that conference at the end of the war. I don't know Yalta or somewhere. Atlee's like we should do this and this and this, but Stalin and Truman know that the country's got **** all money and soon won't have an empire and is now no longer the world power it was 5 years ago. So when there isn't enough room at the grown ups table they pull out a really small table and stick it on the side and Atlee's sitting there with his knees pulled up right next to his ears the chairs so small they've given him to sit on. And he's all we should make sure the Japanese blah de blah and Truman's all "we don't care what you think any more. You used to be the big man but now you ain't. So shut your trap".

That's basically you suggesting we should sign lingard.

He's currently on nothing a week.
 
He will want Premier League wages - £80k to £100k/week? - he was highest paid player at Forest.

We could get 4 loanees for that.

Didn't Forest release him in the Summer? - didn't sound his move there was a success.- no league goals and no assists. His performances have trailed off, maybe past injuries are affecting him.
