He should have sold at least a share when it became clear he no longer had the the finacial muscle to compete in the prem, as it is now I doubt we'd attract a suitable buyer

I’d love there to be another option with more cash and more idea how to run a football club but I’m not holding my breath….

We should be thankful we haven't been in the same trouble as other clubs over the years. See Charlton, Blackburn etc. Where the fans have been actively protesting.

HOWEVER, when a fella takes money out the club to build himself a new mansion, a golf course, and a 3 million private pub. That's when it frustrates me
He actually puts money in the club to keep it afloat as the wage bill and overheads will be nowhere near what the actual football side of the business generates I'd say he is entitled to a few luxuries of his own making in his later years without being condemned on here for it.

Whose money is it? And its entirely on him if one of his businesses isn’t viable.

I have two questions. Where were the people questioning Gibson last season? The second one is a two parter…… Where are the miraculous new owners and what could they do differently with FFP?

We are all very grateful to SG for what he's done, but letting Akpom leave on the fairly cheap and not getting anyone in near the standard of last years loanees just smells of keeping us ticking along rather than ambition.
It's what it is and I can't imagine there's a queue of Saudis wanting to purchase the Boro, so we can only do what we can.

It's the lack of ambition and realism why that is, that kills! Stay strong :)

We should all start singing the famous seasonal Derby chant when they crumbled annually if we go behind at Blackburn

Altogether now “ It’s happening again, It’s happening again, Stevie Gibson, It’s happening again”

The simple fact is he cannot compete in the current financial market when it comes to running a football club. This ain't the 90's and if he ain't careful especially now he is going to put us right where he found us. All this talk about who is going to buy us, it's utter tosh. If I wanted to sell my house I wouldn't think " I don't think I'll bother because no one will buy it" it's nonsense and until he tries to sell up he will never know. Also look at it this way when Steve Gibson is no longer about does that mean middlesbrough f.c will just disappear!! No we won't, m.f.c for life!!

I agree with you in that (prob splitting hairs a little) he doesn’t take responsibility for the performance.
My view is he has to take some responsibility for what Carrick has to work with.

I remember last season people were clear - someone could get more out of the squad and Carrick came along and did just that.

This may (hopefully not) be different
Do you honestly think Gibson scouts and recruits the players ?🤣
