West Brom Tickets...

When predicted they would sell out yesterday evening - I forgot to include the ticket office staff & management going home at 5pm in my calculations and leaving 500 unsold tickets, not available for sale. Wouldn't it just as easy to leave them for sale. It was clear by 4.30pm they would all be sold either yesterday or today.

The ticket office do a good job generally but there have ben some areas they could improve.

Swansea away last season in April - I think we got an allocation of 2000 - only 900 were ever released, most of the 2000 were given back to Swansea to sell to their fans. We could have sold more than 900, but often you would go on the ticket site and there would be just singles available for some reason which took staggering to the extreme.

Some can appear as EB states, people select them into their basket and don't buy them.

I don't know how long you can hold them in a basket.

One for Rob to ask.

Why no sales on the day? And why not keep them on sale but only if people can go and pick them up? Surely the ticket office could put someone on to allow collections?

It seems like people are now discouraged from deciding on the day or close to it to go to a football match. There's 1200 tickets left. Why not give yourselves the chance to sell as many as possible.

Similar to home games - online sales now stop at about 1pm which seems ridiculous when folk can print at home.

The allocation would have been better the other way round

2000 for Cardiff
2800 for WBA

But I guess MFC have no say.

Both should be noisy days out - normally Cardiff is less than 1000.

MFC Ticket office need to leave plenty of tickets for sale overnight for the 170 points fans. Not everyone with high points can buy tickets before 5pm etc.

Some clubs have facilities where tickets can be down-loaded onto your phone in the form of code and scanned at the turnstiles. Isnt it time we had that facility at all football clubs?
The idea you need paper tickets and post them out is 20 years out of date.
