West Brom Tickets...

Some clubs have facilities where tickets can be down-loaded onto your phone in the form of code and scanned at the turnstiles. Isnt it time we had that facility at all football clubs?
The idea you need paper tickets and post them out is 20 years out of date.
West Brom have the download to phone facility (wonder how I know that)

I`m looking at the Cardiff situation - why do we need the Riverside Ticket Office to place paper tickets in paper envelopes, franked, posted and hopefully delivered in time for the match? Not even a "print at home" facility? Hundreds of empty spaces left for Saturday - cant be purchased less than 72 hours before a game?

Even my local non league club do e-tickets.

I know they would have to change the type of reader at the turnstiles, but in the scale of things not a major job surely.

I happened to be down in Bristol earlier in season and made last minute decision to go to Bristol City v QPR. I was informed no tickets could be bought at the ground, but I could buy a print at home ticket. Was staying in a hotel and it was going to be a hassle so I queried it with the ticket office. They said that I could just scan the code from my phone and 99% of time it worked. They just couldn't advertise them as anything but 'print at home because 1% of time it didn't work. Anyway I had absolutely no issues. Most likely same situation for other clubs with 'print at home' scanners

Surely the Cardiff ticket office could have been given a 100 tickets for the day or is there a security issue.
