Well I've long wanted NW to manage our football club

Long before Monk was appointed, if you could somehow get the old posts up you would see I wanted him in the months leading up to Monks arrival, but dear me, either NW must realise he has inherited a team far, far worse than he imagined & after steering this sad bunch of wasters, we call our team, from certain relegation last season he has added & somehow this sad bunch of wasters have somehow got worse

We have players who shouldn't be here & players who don't want to be here, but for me the biggest insult is to have 3 of the biggest waters we would see in a Boro shirt sat on the bench

Fletcher
Assombalonga
Bettinelli

There was a chance that all 3 could have come on during the game, fortunately for us, we only had to endure one came on & that was one to many

I'm really hoping that this is not one season to many for NW & that he can rid our football club of project failures, expensive flops & bring in a team, that doesn't have to be playoff contenders but a team we can relate to & be proud of, something we can shout for

I don't often slag our players off but I have well & truly throw my toys out of the pram over the sorry state our football club is in at present

Those players should hang their heads in shame at some of the performances they've put in this season

I posted on r00fie thread, IMHO, the worst Boro team I've seen

I agree with everything you have put there Erimus this is an appalling Boro team, Worst thing is that I think a lack of effort underpins it, Britt did nothing but stroll around when he came on, absolutely stealing a wage, totally unprofessional.

I said it last week that Warnock being here isnt a good idea. nothong else i can add. Really good job last year dig is out of hole and i doubt anyone elae could of done that better. But we shouldn’t be letting him invest the very limited funds we’ll have. Real long term plan needed. Think youve said it there Erimus, this season was one to many and a bad start next year would see him resign before Christmas.

He’s not wanted and he’s knows it - would you work your guts out for a company who wants you gone??

I honestly can't see how NW is going to turn this complete shambles around

Since the UEFA cup final we have seen our club fall & fall, with a few bright seasons in between

Erimus your post would have far more credibility if you named and shamed players who actually started the game today. Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree with you regarding the players you have named however they didn't lose the game for us today.

It's not a case of not wanting to play for a company that wants you gone, you have to ask yourself, why are we so desperate to want rid of our record signed striker, because he's awful & 90% of his time here he has been

Fair point & yes your right they didn't lose the game for us, but the three I've mentioned have most likely contributed & assisted towards many defeats we've suffered this season, but yes I take your point

I still don’t think you can judge that much on this season. No fans makes atmosphere’s strange. Covid pandemic, and all the rules relating to that. I would imagine it has effect some players more than others, especially those living on their own. A crazy schedule, fatigue and we’ve had some lengthy injuries.
I know it’s the same for all teams but as a fan I couldn’t care less about the rest of the season, so don’t blame the players for now seeing the remaining games as contractual obligations

None of the strikers we have have pulled up any trees with this brand of football we play
I bet Britt will go to another club and he will score goals because they will play the type of football that will create chances.

That maybe the case, but let's not kid ourselves, Monk brought him in & even then he missed glorious chances, remember going to Forest & missed chances to bag a hattrick, he's never done it consistently at the Boro

We shouldn’t have lost , Bolasie not scoring with the keeper to beat was a huge chance .
But , the facts are ,
another defeat ,
another game where I can’t pick a man of the match
Another game we can’t beat 10 men
Another game we question the subs ? Britt ?
Shouldnt be involved , The kid Coburn should have come on not him

The issues run a lot deeper than Warnock or the players in my opinion. Can you name one of our players who you'd call a leader of men? I'm struggling to think of a single one who'd give the rest of them a rollicking either on or off the pitch. We certainly don't have anyone who leads by example.
You've got to ask yourself why we keep recruiting the type of players we do, basically non-entities who are neither exciting or inspiring.
I've said it before, but we need some drastic changes off the field to shake up the entire club, be that with the recruitment team, the ethos in the academy or even within the managerial structure.

Definitely more than the manager that holds us back, we've tried four or five different types in the past five years with all bringing in their own first team coaches. Meanwhile, little changes around the rest of the club, we overpay for journeymen players and regularly miss out on our so called top targets. Each transfer window we say we need to solve the goalscoring problem and never do, each new manager carries out a root and branch review apparently identifying what's wrong, but again nothing changes!

For me the club's stuck in the 90s and hasn't embraced how football has moved on in terms of planning and strategy. These days it can't be about going out and buying the best players you can for a club like ours.

We need to develop players and coaches in a Boro identity with the knowledge that we will be a stepping stone to better things if we get it right, ultimately that should see steady progress and give us something to enjoy, rather than the constant reactive approach. We said this was what we were going to do two years ago, but put the plan in the charge of a novice. Hopefully Neil has a plan for us beyond next season even if it doesn't involve him!

How do people think the atmosphere would have been like inside the ground had fans been allowed in? Similar to what happened towards the end of the pulis era with fan confrontations or just acceptance we're nowhere near the bottom 3?

Lets face it apart from Hall and Watmore which of his signings have been a success on the field?

Once upon a time we would have had a choice of leaders both on and off the field where is the next Nigel Pearson , Paul Ince, Barry Robson or dare i say it even Lee Cattermole who gave a $hit about the badge on the shirt they were wearing
