We still need 6 new players to come in!

It was always a summer of rebuilding (again) and given the injuries to Fisher, Bola and Ameobi that task got even tougher.

We are currently some distance from having a squad that will be competitive.
 
We had three loan players last season and none so far. I would expect three to come in again this season.

We are definitely stronger than we were at the same time last year - 8 days before the start of the season.

We have lost Assombalonga and Fletcher up front but they scored the grand total of 7 league goals between them last season.

Of course we want to be in position that gets us seriously pushing for promotion which we are short of, at this moment in time.

We've lost 23 goals from the players who've left. More if you count injured players. Difficult to see how we make up those goals
 
Watmore didn’t start until November , he could actually beat last seasons tally by Christmas. Uchie will probably beat Brit’s and akpom combine tally and fletch for that matter given he was injured and only managed 2 .
We obviously need another striker in but I suspect wel only get one before the window shuts .

Uche isn’t a goal scorer, if we’re pinning our hopes on him we’re in trouble.

Watmore is our biggest goal threat for me. I think with Uche winning the knock downs they could develop a decent partnership. We're still massively short in that area though. A couple of injuries and we're screwed.
