Leicester will be as baffled at how they have dropped 6 points to us as we are at dropping 4 points to Rotherham.I said something similar the other day, the Leicester game was similar to the Chelsea first leg, on another day they dont miss that many chances and we end up drawing of even losing.
Regardless though it got an important 3 points on the board.
dreams are made of buts and ifs .....We'd have been better placed if we'd lost to Leicester on Saturday and beat Rotherham twice.
We'd need to go on another 6 game+ winning streak just to get ourselves back in proper contention, and we've struggled to string 2 wins together for most of the season.
Leicester did a Boro and missed sitter after sitter in a game that they should have won on paper, their finishing let them down badly, we didn't play them off the park, we put in a decent backs to the wall away performance with a couple of counter attacks.
We're not going to be able to play that way against most teams.
we would but that's a silly argument, of course winning two games would be better than winning one. Surely the comparison is beating rotherham twice or beating leicester twice. We'd have been better placed if we'd lost to Leicester on Saturday and beat Rotherham twice.
That reminds me of the thread in January where everyone had us getting 13 or 15 points out of the next 15 points.Looking at the fixtures this should do it

Our progress compared to last season (we were on 54 points at this point last season).

Even that is a poor price. There's definitely less than a 5% chance of us making it from here. 6/1 is mental. We're 6/1 on Bet365 for top 6 which I think is dreadful value. If we win our next 6 we're still 2 points outside the playoffs if all teams maintain their season ppg but you would expect a mix of some teams improving theirs and others not. We need to win 8 in a row to be above Hull if they maintain their 1.64ppg. That would be 9 in a row for us. It's never going to happen.
Think I'd want about 20/1 for us to make the top 6 at this point.
How are we against.. other playoff seasons? Our progress compared to last season (we were on 54 points at this point last season).

It doesn’t look totally impossible.. after Norwich we should be on the way up.. hopefully we’ve got enough on the table to make a last ditch effort!Looking at the fixtures this should do it

We’ll always have a core of players..the best thing to do is go on an amazing run, get to the play-off final, win it and then decide that it's better to stay in champo than getting stuffed every week like Burnley and SU. What I mean is we are not ready for the PL.
Some of us have been saying it since before the season even started. After the Sunderland game there was a few of us stating play offs definitely not happening. We got pellets off a few people. Since then, we’ve lost to Bristol and Preston. Those games definitely killed it off despite the unexpected win at Leicester.
If you look at the history of 6th place mostly teams don’t get there with more than 14 defeats. Boro are on 14 now so really need an unbeaten finish to the season. The win at Leicester was a great start but I’m not convinced we’ll even beat Plymouth Saturday.
There are no prizes for being the first person to make a prediction otherwise I’d have a massive trophy for supporting Roger’s against the vilificationSome of us have been saying it since before the season even started.
