We beat rotherham twice.....

Stunning when you consider we did the double over Leicester and 4 points off Southampton. We also failed to beat Plymouth home or away who needed something today to be sure of staying up.

The whole thing is even more stunning when you think we didn't win in the first 7 matches. Yet still going to finish close.

All those injuries and weeks without a CF fecked us. Oh and still not got over Glovers mistake against Sunderland. So many moments. Yet sure most clubs will say the same.

Excited for next sesson 👍

We have indeed finished the season very well, but let’s not forget we’re still rubbish 🤣 in all seriousness though if we can get five good additions into the squad, hold onto our best players, and have a bit more luck with injuries I think it could finally be our year to “SMASH THE LEAGUE”

Got to start next season at full pelt...not giving the league a 2 month start like we have down the last 2 seasons
Assuming we only lose 1 or 2 over the summer, we have the majority of the starting 11 in place already which will make a massive difference.

Finished last season badly. Lost momentum into the playoffs and struggled to get going again. Injuries etc took their toll but we’ve ended this season in a complete juxtaposition to last so very hopeful for a proper attempt next.

Plus my assignment here in Buenos Aires ends in September so will get to see a lot more games next year.

Cruising 1-0 at home against Hull, and we fell asleep to end up losing 2-1

We will learn from it as players and coaching and be better for it next year, we have had such bad luck with Injuries and still been so close, the players will hopefully look and be irritated thinking only what could of been.

Carrick will galvanise the squad and we will be some team next year, there will be bumps up and down but I fully believe with this squad and a few astute signs we will be right up there next year.

If we ever do up as champions we need a smash the league chant

One of the most frustrating games this season. Other home defeats we didn’t deserve much, but that Hull game was there for the taking. I can’t quite believe we lost when we should have won.

Consistency is key!

This team has learnt a lot from this season and with a few additions and not so many injuries we will fly next year!

Agreed.

There is no one scary in this division; Leicester were certainly not scared of anyone, but they still lost twice to us, as well as once to the likes of QPR, Millwall and Plymouth.

It's the competition itself that's scary, not the teams in it. Success isn't about being brilliant; it's about consistency and attrition.

Knowing that, the fact we failed to beat Rotherham doesn't bother me too much. We didn't have enough consistency to earn a playoff place

Well said. Look at Ipswich, came up on the crest of a wave and carried it all the way to the end. Are they a better squad than Leeds or Southampton? Arguably not, but they found a way to win games even when they weren't firing on all cylinders.

Don't forget that level with Norwich and sneaking into the playoffs almost certainly means that we wouldn't have been promoted. We're still a decent distance away from promotion probability Vs promotion possibility.
