Warnock calling out players for not taking the Covid Jab

Sky sports tweeded the interview on twitter.

All the anti vaxers and tinfoil hat brigade having a go at him as the players 'don't know the longterm effects' etc. I am stunned so many 'normal people' never mind footballers don't want it.

I thought it was interesting in the gaffers interview when he said 'I don't know where they are getting the advice not to take it' (or words to that effect). It can only be crack pot postings on social media.
I’ve taken it but there hasn’t been enough efficacy done and what if it effects male virility and we don’t know that yet. They are right to be cautious

At the moment we have the two jabs and another booster on the way coupled with a flue jab . Who knows how far this will go yet . There hasn’t been a lot said on following a healthy life style in case you do get it your less likely to get seriously ill .

Eh? Do you mean there hasn't been enough research on the efficacy of the vaccine? "There hasn't been enough efficacy done" makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Neither does refusing a life saving vaccine.

Can't be just Middlesbrough players refusing the jab like, but im not sure why they have not made compulsory for professional footballers.

It’s interesting as My wife and I visited some friends of ours at the weekend. There are a young couple who are both 25.

Both of them have not had the jab, stated that not one of their friends has (he’s a really popular guy as well) and that none of them have intention until they are either forced to have it or need to go on holiday.

It was interesting that their views were things like, by the time we need a vaccine there will be a new variant so will wait for that vaccine, I’ve already had covid I feel okay now, No one knows the long-term effects etc .

We just human them, but the irony is that the guy works for biologics company.

True... I do understand that the speed they rushed this through means we know little about longterm effects.

I've had both jabs. I really didn't give it a second thought and 'trust' what experts tell me (why is another question).

Give it 5-10 years and the antivaxers and none vaccinated maybe saying 'told you so' when all kind of issues start appearing. Then who's had the last 'laugh'.

I knew as soon as Warnock was asked the question it would backfire. I'm suprised he didn't dodge it and say its in the hands of the medical staff or something.

Why would government push a healthy lifestyle ?
They get billions from the diary industry which is not good for our health

Milk and dairy products, such as cheese and yoghurt, are great sources of protein and calcium. The total fat content of dairy products can vary a lot. To make healthier choices, look at the nutrition information on the label to check the amount of fat, including saturated fat, salt and sugar, in the dairy products you're choosing.

The government. who I have no great love for at all, have literally being pushing a healthy lifestyle for about the past year at the very least - mainly linked to Johnson's bout of COVID and his belief that being overweight made it worse.

That's not taking into account other initiatives that they have pushed over the years designed to get people more active and eating healthier.

You don't half speak some rubbish.

Because, as much as I like Neil warnock, and I really do, he has many blind spots in his awareness, and comments like these demonstrate that.
Like Brexit, irrespective of your view, the truth is/was nobody really knew the impact it would have on people’s lives(jobs) etc but he categorically stated ‘get out’ without reflection (seemingly)
It’s why he’s a good football manager, he’s very decisive and carry’s player’s with him in his decisiveness but it also shows him up in other more nuanced areas of life to be lacking in certain areas of his personality

Like many others.

What does‘pushing’ a healthy diet mean though ?
Most dietary so called’experts’ still don’t steer people away from all diary products
Most dieticians are ill informed about ‘tomorrow’s’ diet and where we ought to be heading for our bodies health and the health of the planet
Strangely very well iligned.

Lizard : your the chief of blind spotters, bless
