Warnock calling out players for not taking the Covid Jab

How does it work if they (footballers in general) have to travel abroad to play? Quarantine on return. Daft

Sky sports tweeded the interview on twitter.

All the anti vaxers and tinfoil hat brigade having a go at him as the players 'don't know the longterm effects' etc. I am stunned so many 'normal people' never mind footballers don't want it.

I thought it was interesting in the gaffers interview when he said 'I don't know where they are getting the advice not to take it' (or words to that effect). It can only be crack pot postings on social media.

The long term impact of any new vaccine is always going to cause slight concern, but surely logic must tell the players the risk of long Covid is significantly worse

No age is really immune from it no matter how fit you are, look at the Birmingham player that ended up in hospital a few months ago. Long Covid could cause so many problems further down the line for any of our players.

Don’t think it’s too much to ask of anyone to take medical advice from medical professionals, and not from Facebook

People who refuse the vaccine should have it noted on their medical record, so that whenever they need emergency medical treatment, they are able to consult YouTube first.
I fully agree. I would be fuming as an NHS worker when people rock up for ICU care and they haven't had the vaccine despite being offered it.

I can't say don't treat them. I would say stick them at the back of the pile for a ventilator if the wards full. Everyone has had the chance to have at least one dose of vaccine. If you choose not to then that's your decision. Just don't come running to the NHS if you need covid treatment.

Harsh but fair😉

If the players understand the longer lasting effects of covid could ruin their career they would probably think a big different.

the club’s insurance policy will probably be effected

I wondered at first if Marc Bola's celebration at Fulham was something to do with NW's comments as he first made them before the season started
