Pulis said it but then appeared to do more of the sameRecruitment and the way we do deals?
Didnt Pulis say the same thing a few years ago?
Hugill and Besic where our recruitment teams buys! so he was right. We've wanted both players for a few years now........ Warnock is clearly demanding his own players.Pulis said exactly the same. Then again he then went and spent 21mil and paid massive loan fees for Hugill and probably a few quid on Besic.
I think its been the recruitment and wage structure. We simply shouldn't be paying players 20-30k a week (+). It's not healthy for the club.
I think a lot stems back to Monk blowing over 50mil. We still have some of those players and they've probably restricted us in terms of transfers. They ain't good enough but no fecker can sign them as we pay so well.
To think we paid best part of 30mil for Braithwaite / Fletcher and Britt. We moved Braithwaite on for less than half and the others leave for nothing. It's hard to remember us consistently buying low and selling high (that the model you need).
We also saw Clayton / Ayala / George leave for nothing. Why didn't we cash in on them 18 months ago if we knew we couldn't match the current contracts? Again its simply because no fecker could pay them. Why would they leave?
Rudy left for nothing.... Again 6mil down the drain. Downing nothing.
We must be hemeraging cash. Just buy players for a fortune and let them leave for nothing. How much would we get for Saville? 1-2mil at best (didn't Warnock say he offered 2mil when at Cardiff? Why did we pay 7)
We have paid some frankly bizzare fees. The gaffer said the other week that Steve should have phoned him about a few players. He would have said 'don't touch with a barge pole'.... Interesting.
Also damming when he said 'Britts agent deserves a pat on the back'.

That's without wages, add in 8mill for Britt, 3.5mill for Fletch and 2.5mill for Braithwaite. That's a total of about 44mill, we got about 4mill back on Brathwaite. So 40mill spent to stand still in this league. That is shocking. To think we paid best part of 30mil for Braithwaite / Fletcher and Britt.
The way the club is run is embarrassing at times. Who is signing off on some of these deals?
Rarely gets mentioned but Guedioura? It'd have been the same result if Gibson had just taken £3.5m and flushed it down the toilet. There's clearly been a massive lack of due diligence done on some of our signings.
We actually seem to do better when we're skint. Our best players, by and large, in the last 10 years have been signed for relative peanuts. When we have money to spend it's like kids in a sweet shop.
Monk had Assombalonga, Bamford, Gestede and Braithwaite. Turned down an offer for Gestede and someone still allowed him to then go out and blow £7m on Ashley Fletcher. It's insane.
Fair play. Your English has drastically improved. Must’ve been working hard. Good work!!One or two things need putting right? We are almost being invited to guess what they are. Such fun. In the hope there is a prize for the right answer, here goes:
Is it the squad?
The leadership and direction of the club?
Is it the selection of Team Managers, present manager excepted presumably?
Is it the chopping and changing of team managers?
Is it the succession of managers who have insisted 10 players have defensive duties while one can attack and then wonder why we don’t score goals?
Can’t wait for the prize.
Spending 2-5 times market value.. letting player leave for nowt. With the money that we’ve had and spent on players I would think the recruitment team would be first to go. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a shake up with the academy too. Players needing to go out on loan rather than racking up wins for the U23s.. something about family members getting involved in players needing to starts etc.. wouldn’t have it at on U7 level let alone a championship club wanting promotion.Recruitment and the way we do deals?
