Walk-Up Prices Confirmed

I was expecting a £1 increase (about 3%).

The mid week reduction was a little bonus and good move.

I am not saying our prices are fair, they are in general too high - £25 for an adult is fair to me.

Yeah I don't know how anyone can say those prices are alright but I guess people value things differently. I'd only go if I was asked by my Dad and brother because it's nice to go to the game together like we did 20 years ago.

Other than that I've got plenty of other things I'd rather do with £31 than go to a Boro game.

Categorising the pricing will have no impact on the crowds at all. Fans aren't going to pay £28 to watch us play Millwall on a Tuesday evening.

Might as well have just kept it at £30 all games.

3 pounds discount for midweeks games on its own wont entice anyone else to the ground. the differential should have been greater. A better pricing strategy for me would be a maximum of £25 any where in the ground for category B

If it's just you going, prices aren't THAT bad for certain areas of the ground. But for those of us who are travelling 2hrs and have kids to take - easy going to cost me £120+ by the time I factor in diesel, parking, food/drink etc. Struggling to justify it tbh.
Wanting to be a proper parent and bring my son up a Boro fan.....so far so good, daughter has gone through the "City" phase - come out the other side thankfully; but when I can take him to Stockport for £5 (10 mins away) it's going to be hard getting him properly hooked if it's 2-3 games a season at Boro.

I've said for years they should introduce a ticketing system similar to the low cost airlines. E.G. Sell season tickets at the equivalent of £20 per match then price individual matches from £21 and adjust due to demand, do it right you maximise both the crowd and income but then we're talking Boro where the lack of vision goes back forever!

Interesting post h_m and I can sympathise.

Just to update you Stockport County look to have put up their prices 40% for children this season from £5 to £7. So adult and child is £27 opposed to £42 or £37 at Boro depending on when the game is played. Stockport is Div 2. Not being to Edgeley Park since 1986, but it used to a Div 2 ground like say Feethams i.e. a couple of leagues below the Riverside.

It costs me over £100 to go to a home game, but we try to make it into a trip, stay over and go somewhere else besides the football, see relatives etc. Parking is free if you are willing to walk 20 minutes from the Riverside and money can be saved by taking own sarnies or buying some in Town. (not the same as a meal).

Living near Stockport means cheaper trips to Stoke, Preston, Blackpool, Burnley, Blackburn, Sheffield United, Rotherham, Huddersfield all within 45 miles? Boro homes games are away games for you and me.

The midweek games are a few quid cheaper because of the sky red button (that Gibson hates). It's not a 'thank you'.

I imagine we will be in the top 5 or 6 for prices in the champo. I guess we'll see what others charge.

Is there another club in the championship charging more for the cheapest adult ticket ?

If you can get a ticket. Priority points doesn't make that easy.

I was going to say good luck with some of those games, Blackpool no chance without a lot of points as it's the first time we've had a 3pm Saturday game there in years.

Others depend on how the team is playing and the allocation, if we're playing well people will find the money.
