Walk-Up Prices Confirmed

we are let down by just one U18 price. Burnley are still clearly charging Premier League prices going off the above stats

Gibson is not allowed to subsidise MFC to the tune of £12m/year even if he wanted to.

There is an owner subsidy allowed, but I think its around £5m a year.

The Hull pricing is very good, myself I think £20 for a seat at a Championship game is selling the product a bit cheap. The English Championship is quite a high standard and mainly played in modern safe stadiums, certainly at Hull.
Hats off to Hull I say. £20 is exactly what it should be given the cost of living crisis and the fact that Hull isn't exactly an affluent area. Our club seem out of touch with the supporters. One of the poorest parts of the country and yet they are charging us top dollar. No wonder there are thousands of empty seats year in year out. I would love us to do our absolute utmost to try and get bums on seats and pack the ground out. Get the future generation of fans on board by making it reasonably priced for kids and get rid of this ridiculous 'under 18' category. There's no way a 6 year old's ticket should cost the same as a 17 year old's.

I agree children's prices should be split with a lower and upper child.

Charging £20 for adults is nice in theory, but the following season, people will say why should I pay £450 in advance, when I can pick and choose for £20 a game - maybe go to 18 games for £360.

We all know some fans will get in cheaply on others STs, when there are around 19,000 STs in circulation.

Tonight its only £10 for adults - there should be at least 25k Boro fans there if price was the biggest factor in choosing to go to a game.

Price isnt the issue tonight its a kick about with no new exciting signings to get a first glimpse of. About as appealing as paying £18 to watch us play Barnsley in the 1st round of the League Cup

I am very disappointed at the walk up pricing. I should also like to have seen extension of 18-21 categories. I do not think fans should have to leave the Family Zone for this reason. And we do need to see a membership scheme started up offering discounts and reward for those unable to commit to a season card. I would also have liked to have seen reciprocal pricing with Burnley and Reading so our away fans paid less at Turf Moor and Madejski as it was formerly known. And also maybe towards fans transport costs away from home. The Fans Forum produced a well thought out report into ticketing. I submitted a few emails. We will keep on trying to tell it how it is for fans struggling to afford to watch Boro.

Many people find watching a Boro team in action the main motovation.

I agree as well about a price for 18-21 as many are students/apprentices - this age group has less money than 65s pluses, nowadays.

There is never going to be 25k for a pre season friendly. You can't compare that to a league match.

Marseille finished second in the French Premier League and historically the biggest club in France. Its was no ordinary friendly. Boro put out a strong team.

I admit they're a decent team but they're not Real Madrid or Barcelona. A 12,000 crowd is about what I expected regardless of what the tickets cost. To expect 25k for a pre season friendly against Marseille is a little optimistic for me. Fans would rather save their money for West Brom for example where there's actually 3 points to play for.
