VPN recommendations please

I have never had one and have been advised that its the best thing to do in regards security etc.. as I can use on more than one device. Just looking for recommendations for something reliable. I have a pre-installed app IPVanish VPN on my TV (need to register if suitable). I don't know if this is a good VPN? Seems to have good reviews, but am a complete novice when it comes to this sort of stuff so I appreciate any help/recommendations.

I'd go to a review site to see the pros and cons. I use expressVPN but it's on the expensive side. Opera browser is the other end of the price spectrum, as are a number of other free VPNs.

I've used ExpressVPN for years now, both for security but also to watch British TV when I lived in the US. Absolutely faultless, and can be used on all sorts of devices including AppleTV
 
Express, IPVanish, Nord, Windscribe and others will all protect you online.
If you are into 'downloading' then you'll want something with P2P support and a killswitch.
I've got Windscribe and Nord and they are both great and support all sorts of devices.
Look online for deals too as you can find some good discounts at this time of year.
 
I used IPVanish for a few years now and have never had any issues, but also have a contact who supplies one as a back-up one that also works well and comes in handy for TV stuff but is ran on a smaller scale by himself and a small team.
 
I use SetUp VPN, it's decent and you can pay monthly if you want rather than having to fork out a lump sum for a 2 or 3 year deal in advance (y)
 
As above, ExpressVPN is by far the best in my experience and I must have tried all the usual suspects over the years - it's also the only one I've found that'll allow me to use iPlayer abroad.

Yes it's a bit pricey, but as with most things, you get what you pay for
 
When doing your research look for VPN providers that do NOT log user access. Some of the names mentioned above (IPVanish, PIA and ExpressVPN) keep logs of user activity (upto 90 days I think) and will be required to hand those over to a law enforcement agency if a warrant is issued.

I use AirVPN which was set up and is run by and Italian law firm who specialise in data/internet type cases. No logs, no frills, fairly cheap, reliable service.

Got no beef with the bear.

It may have changed in the past year but when I last looked @ 12 months ago there were issues beng raised on Reddit about major VPN providers T&Cs being queried and I'm sure Express was one of them.

Hey-ho. I'm happy with AirVPN...... currently £35/year.

I've had ExprssVPN for four years and it's been the same throughout. It is expensive though.

What exactly are you doing that needs you to evade the feds?
 
PIA VPN, reasonably cheap, runs over multiple devices like firestick (useful for Kodi / IPTV) and theres 90% cashback on a years subscription through TopCashback
