Villa bid for Morgan Rogers

Well I guess it is, but we hold all the cards, long contract, you generally pay more in january, he;s enjoying it here, so unlikely to be forcing a move....and if he does go, for premium cash, it will incentivise any incoming replacement that we are a good career move to get to the prem.
 
I reccomended Ollie Watkins from Exeter for £2m , he sold later for 7.2m and is now valued at £60m ( to Gary Gill )
I reccomended Morgan Rogers for £1.5m 2021 when at Lincoln on loan , we got him for roughly that a year later . ( to Gary Gill )
Morgan Rogers is a Ollie Watkins clone , they are very alike , in everything from skill , physique , ability , Ollie is now age 28 , and Rogers could be his replacement long term , and strike partner now.
Good luck if he gets his move , I have rated him since watching him play LW for Lincoln .
We would not stand in his way if this is true , as long as Villa pay £15m with a sell on clause .

Because they signed him only 6 days after he turned 17, after he'd only played 1 first team game for West Brom, and wasn't signed to be in the City first team squad, at a club where the pathway through is extraordinarily difficult as it is. The idea that he had a go at it and it didn't work out or something just doesn't make sense when he's still only 21 and was essentially signed as a youth player by said big club.

He is good but he isn’t half the finisher Watkins is or was.
 
Bizarre when they could have signed him in the summer. Be gutted if he leaves already, he's going to be a star.

I can imagine him wanted to move back to Birmingham but he'll be a bit part player again if he goes there right now.
 
I hope we keep him. He’s (potentially) special, and will flourish under Carrick. I’ve said before, he’ll be our first £30m player…..unless he leaves too early, or course

They probably never heared of him until he impressed against them in the FA Cup
 
If they really want him and the money is right, them we will sell him, plus he will want to go if the rumours are true..

It's a weird one tho, Villa sells 20yr old Ramsey and now 4 months later they want Rogers.. Ramsey is a far better player, when he is not injured.

Can guarantee you now Rogers will do more in the game than Aaron Ramsey.

If Ramsey stayed fit then yes he is a better player... Last season he ripped teams apart before his injury...

I can guarantee you now, i haven't seen the same explosive performance from Rogers..
 
I’ve decided I’m fully against a sale this month. Hope we can keep playing hard ball. I’m really enjoying watching Rogers in a Boro shirt and I want it to continue. He can play a big part in a successful end to the season.

But he still got lost in their system for 4 years, so it does hold water, he still isn't consistent enough to make a prem side, and I say that as a big fan of his that defended him vehemently when people attacked him at the start of the season.

He's likely to have a very good career but needs to keep away from a big club for another 2 years

Rogers ceiling is way ahead of Ramsey in my opinion. As for explosive that’s exactly what Rogers is.

Ramsey being made of quavers doesn’t help either

What Rogers has that Ramsey doesn't is that he has the eye for a pass that Ramsey doesn't. Ramsey is skillful, quick, direct. Rogers can do that, but he can also get his head up and pick a penetrating pass while running at speed and getting hacked at.
