More power in his running too and his big build makes him a joy to watch. Rogers over Ramsey every day of the week for me.

Ramsey has been given almost legendary status by many of our fans, because he played very well for us for a couple of months when we were brilliant. Best football that we'd seen in years.

The opposite has happened for many with Rogers, he came in when the team were playing diabolically and many wrongly associated that with Rogers introduction to the team.

For some fans nothing will shift that ingrained perception but I completely agree with you Rogers has much greater potential than Ramsey.

It's a weird one tho, Villa sells 20yr old Ramsey and now 4 months later they want Rogers.. Ramsey is a far better player, when he is not injured.

That's the issue with Ramsey though Injuries, he just can't shake them off.

Totally agree.

I liked Ramsey but do think he was a tad overrated by a majority of our fans. Always said I preferred McGree when we had them debates last season and I certainly prefer Rogers. The injury record for Ramsey too is hard to ignore.

To be fair he hasnt had our fully fit squad around him much this season, whereas Ramsey had chuba, forss, Archer to play with plus Mcgree.
 
I am surprised at the debate on here about this.
The lad cant get a game for us mid-table in the Champo. Jesus, if ever there was a chance for a forward to make his mark then it was with us, this season, given the fact that almost every striker we have has been laid up with injury.

If villa offer a decent fee then its an easy decision, isnt it?
 
Bit of rose-tinted specs with Ramsey, he did well but I'm not even sure he would have started ahead of McGree had we made it to the play-off final. Rogers has a much higher ceiling for me.

He’s not a striker though. And he has been getting plenty of football over the last 2 months or so. In fact he has pretty much guaranteed himself a place in the team no matter who’s fit an and available. The lad is a special talent.
