Unusual cars you like

I had a Sunbeam Alpine drophead coupé for a while around 1978-79, it was a very nice little motor, and the engine was quite sweet (well on the one I had) but the bodywork was shocking. It was a turquoise-blue colour and looked a little like the one shown but mine had spoked, not wire style wheels.

I had one of those. It had the most satisfying door clunk ever.

I am a BMW fan, but I love the Nissan Cube. I love the quirkiness of it, I bet its really easy to get in and out of, as a 6 foot 2 100kg bloke that appeals. My car is **** for that.

I bet you whack a bike in it easy, and its nailed asymmetrical styling - something the Discovery failed.

My fave toy car was a Europa. Later in life I made a film for Top Gear about 50 years of Lotus (a 60s Elite and a 90s Esprit GT if I remember rightly, with Tiff) ... during which I learned that Lotus was an acronym for Loads Of Trouble Usually Serious.
Like FIAT stands for fix it again tomorrow

Love them too for reasons unknown, only thing close is a jazz, but not really close at all, but great for chucking bikes in

I’ve a soft spot for a Datsun Cherry. Took my driving test in one. Heaven knows how I passed it first time
