Twisterella - full line up announced

Slowly making my way through the playlist posted earlier in the thread.
Really wanna see Chalk and Irked so far.
Did someone mention a "Clasher" or something coming out to determine clashes of wanna see artists?

Clashfinder will be out in the next 24hrs. We've just got a few last minute tweaks once we've met with our partner venues which we're doing today.
Will post on here once it goes live.

Middlesbrough’s award-winning music festival Twisterella has shared its full lineup & stage splits for this year’s imminent event. Furthermore, an exciting selection of industry experts will take part in the festival’s free (un)Conference on Saturday 12th October, as the cherished new music all-dayer celebrates its ten year anniversary.
Twisterella 2024 will play host to an impressive lineup of established & emerging talent including reverse-headliners The Howl & The Hum, who will return for a 3rd Twisterella appearance to kick things off on the main Teesside University SU Hub stage. They’ll be joined on the day by legendary Durham punks Martha, rising Northern Irish experimentalists Chalk, noisy sugar-coated Norwegians Pom Poko and Italian/Punjabi sister rock duo Baby Said, to name but a few. The likes of Cardiff post-punk newcomers Slate, Nottingham indie-rockers The Chase and Liverpool’s saddest songstress Pet Snake add to what is one of the best line-ups of new music you’ll find in 2024.

Twisterella 2024 will also play host to some of the north east’s most exciting regional acts, notably rising indie-punk singer-songwriter Melanie Baker, critically acclaimed Teessider Amelia Coburn, fast-rising rabble-rousers Irked, genre blurring hip hop from Shakk and mysterious balaclava clad post-everything trio Perfect Chicken.

The festival will also tip its hat to the past, with Middlesbrough’s very own Be Quiet. Shout Loud! performing their first gig in almost 5 years. The band played the first ever Twisterella back in 2014, and while Twisterella’s main focus is new artists, there is always a place for sentiment in music. On a similar tip, festival favourite Dressed Like Wolves will be performing his last ever solo gig under the moniker before launching his new project later this year.

Taking place in and around Teesside University Students’ Union and Middlesbrough Town Hall, Twisterella’s metropolitan, multi-venue format offers value and convenience to festival goers, providing them with a unique opportunity to witness numerous incredible performances throughout the day. In the decade since its inception, the event has become a central part of the north east’s flourishing music scene and was recognised with an AIF Independent Festival Award in 2019 for its innovative approach to developing and showcasing new talent.

Now celebrating its 10th year, Twisterella has previously played host to established acts such as Sam Fender, Pip Blom, Dream Wife, Benefits and Prima Queen, whilst the festival's co-promoters have a proven track record of bringing exciting talent to the region having hosted early shows for the likes of The 1975, Wolf Alice, Alt-J, Daughter, Mumford & Sons, The Vaccines, Catfish & The Bottlemen and many more.
In addition to its music lineup, Twisterella also hosts its own (un)Conference, a crucial & inclusive forum that brings together respected figures from the music industry in Middlesbrough. Here, they share their knowledge, provide guidance, and offer feedback to Teesside’s next exciting generation of artists.
Featuring a line-up of experts and innovators in the music industry, speakers include Matt Hanner (Runway Artists), Chris Cobain (Stockton Calling), Jasmine Sidhu (Hanglands), Lucy Harbron (Far Out Magazine), Sarah Barron (Index), Pippa Morgan (Index), Shakk (BBC Music Introducing) and Amelia Coburn (Tees Valley Artist of the Year).
The un(Conference) will take place at Middlesbrough Town Hall and is free entry & all ages. Registration opens at 10:30am and the (un)conference finishes at 12:45pm, in time to head to the festival for the first artists.

Henry Carden, co-promotor Twisterella:

"We're incredibly excited that Twisterella 2024 is right around the corner! It's hard to believe that this is our 10th year; a lot has changed over the past decade, but at its core, Twisterella is still all about discovering your new favourite band alongside other like-minded music fans.

With the likes of The Howl and The Hum, Melanie Baker, Slate, Low Girl and Amelia Coburn going on early, it's going to be an incredible start to the day. I also can't wait to finish the festival in the Uni Hub stage with Chalk. I absolutely adore them and I'm buzzing that they're heading to Boro from Belfast for a one-off. Let's make it worth their while!

The (un)Conference is back for its tenth instalment too. It's an integral part of what we do at Twisterella, providing emerging artists with the guidance, knowledge and encouragement they need to really kick on with their careers. It's informal, it's relaxed and it's friendly. Oh, and it's free (Twisterella Festival is a separate ticketed event)!"

One of the things that sets Twisterella apart from other festivals is how well attended it is early on. Those reverse headliners work so well.

We've had Fatherson, Red Rum Club, Clean Cut Kid, Boy Azooga, HYYTS, The Royston Club and Dutch Uncles. This year it is The Howl & The Hum. An absolute don't miss!

(I'll try to squeeze in some of Melanie Baker just before that)
