Truss runs away

Having now seen the video, the striking thing (apart from the obvious) is her desperately looking around the room to find what are the Conservative Party’s normal supporters in the media, and finding none. Peston then stuck in the dagger and she was off.

She'll be gone next week.

I was hoping that she would deliver a high growth economy.............disappointed she never mentioned it.

And did you see the faces of the reporters at the very end. Didn't that tell a tale.
I think her running away will be viewed very negatively by the journalists and I'd think some will be minded to make her life even more difficult as a result.

I just watched the whole of the "briefing". Well, it certainly was. Brief that is.

Absolute car crash stuff. More cringe than the bio-engineered love child of David Brent and Alan Partridge. If she is still PM by the end of next week I will be very surprised. Out of her depth on a damp flannel was a phrase I've heard elsewhere.

She looked liked she'd shart herself as she ran off stage. Peston's question just ended her as PM.

But things could be about to get a lot worse. Monday, Monday🎵🎶

Liz Truss has done something incredible, she's made Boris Johnson seem competent and statesmanlike.

Johnson made you yearn for the dogged determination of May, while she had you fondly reminiscing about Cameron's smooth & media savvy manner.

The latest is outdoing the last in the running for worst PM ever, the best (worst?) game of "hold my beer".

So we left the EU to reclaim our precious independence and sovereignty. Next the government could torch a whole raft of rights and regulations, lower taxes and create an Asian style tiger economy right here in Europe ....... take that Brussels! 🙄Except the financial markets have said "no you're fecking not".
Sovereignty, don't make me laugh, it was never more than a shimmering mirage.

It's really remarkable that every one of those I thought was the worst ever PM. Cameron nearly lost the union, gave us a dose of austerity and kickstarted brexit with his arrogance. May was inept and pointless, with zero authority and no one would accept her brexit. Then Bozo, just awful, achieved loads by achieving nothing, "got brexit done".... thanks, fridge hider. Now we have, incredibly, an even worse one. An idiot with zero clue and at best inept. At worst, in the back pocket of more powerful people. Whenever I see her, her expression reminds of a dog that's just happy to see people.

They somehow always managed to put forward an even worse candidate. Bravo. Top tekkers.
