Trump V Biden

Dear me, How Biden never smacked him I do not know.

Trump lived up to everything we thought of him and much more.

He came across as a racist, Misogynistic, lying tax avoiding bully. He avoided the questions asked by a generally weak host who often let him get away with it. He either laid into Biden personally, his kids or talked about how wonderful and great he was, with lies as if they were facts. I know, shock horror, nobody is surprised. I now know god never created the world, Trump did.

Human behaviour apparently affects climate change only to a degree. The problem is apparently we don’t plant enough trees, America is green and cars need to be more affordable too. I think if he didn’t talk out of his backside methane levels would halve overnight. I just hope those watching in the states and have a vote, use it, and do so wisely. If people really want to make America great again, they MUST elect Biden. Fingers crossed common sense prevails, but unfortunately we are talking the U S of A

Complete and utter shambles from start to finish. Cringingly embarrassing to listen to and created by a bully boy Trump with the sole intent to attack and not defend. The USA are in a horrifying state politically.

Both options yet again are poor though, surely there was a better option to put against trump that Biden. I mean Christ if you were a woman over there you have a lovely choice of vote pest or letch.

like last time with Clinton, Trump didn’t win the election Clinton lost it.

Haven't seen any of it but from what I've just read the Cake v Pudding poll on here was probably more informative.

A lot of smears and lies helped Trump against his opponent. And as has been revealed some sinister manipulation in social media by Cambridge Analytica. And let’s not forget Clinton actually won the vote but lost on the Electoral college system.

& we aren't?
We aren't THAT bad yet, but after this lot have destroyed our democracy and controlled the media we'll end up the same.

Two old, senile guys, both of whom have been accused of sexual assault just slagging each other off and saying nothing else. Would be entertaining in an old folks home. When it's to decide who runs the second most powerful nation on the planet, it's scary.

The "he started it" bit showed what a colossal bell end Trump is. Biden could have nailed him to the floor but he bit at Trumps antagonising.
Lost opportunity

Still 41% of people polled thought he won the debate. So nothing changed with voting intentions.

I think it was a catch 22 for biden, react too much and it looks like he's lost, not reacting at all could be interpreted as being weak.

Not how I personally would interpret either scenario, just how I think bidens people will have assessed it.

Do these farces even make up the minds of voters as to which way to go? If they do it is an indictment only on how shallow voters are frankly.

some people just won’t cross party lines no matter what. He could release his tax audits showing no tax paid and admit that sexual assault and you’d have people saying that he was smart with money and “goes after what he wants” with women.

We saw it here with brexit being essentially voted on combined with Labour v conservatives in the general election.

“Crossing party lines” was massive in the Brexit vote though but I know what you are trying to say. Once your mind is made up on something you look for confirmation of that view and reject evidence that conflicts with it.

I absolutely detest Trump and I'd love to see him turfed out but Biden just comes across so poorly as well.

I know he didn't want to get into a slagging match last night but there were occasions where he needed to raise his voice and just tell Trump to be quiet and let him finish.

Not only that, Biden seems uncomfortable infront of the media, he seemed to be losing track of what he was trying to say and didn't come across well at all. He looks to me like an old man who should be on the sofa at home, this looks too much for him.

You contrast Biden with Obama who was mentally sharp, witty and confident, the difference is enormous. He would have destroyed Trump in a debate like this.

It was a complete and utter embarrassment. Two OAPs throwing insults at each other like it was a working men's club.
The Americans seriously need to look at themselves and ask what they've become. Or more to the point, how they've let themselves be manipulated by the elite to the point where this is the choice they get.

It'll be reported as "Biden won" by the usual MSM as he didn't literally sh&t himself on stage.

God help them.

Trump is what he is.
Biden is likely to die before he gets a full sentence out. He could be in my Mother’s dementia home.
How on earth could the Democrats arrive at him as the best alternative.
Shocking state over there.

Biden did do just that at one point.

Yeah I know he tried to but just got nowhere with it, he just let Trump talk over him continuously.

I think the plan was to not come down to Trumps level but its like when a child keeps arguing with a parent or teacher. At some point you need to shout louder than them to make your point.

The guy asking the questions didn't help either, I know that.

Elite ................. usual MSM ....................... lovely populist terms that are the real reason they are in this mess. Governing a country is not a popularity contest its about leading and doing what is best for your country and its people, all of them, even when that may be unpopular with some. That's why populism is a dead end and why Trump and the Brexit riding Tories are an unmitigated disaster. In both the UK and the US we are living through amateur hour in government terms.
