You're probably right, and I am unfairly stereotyping, but having stepped outside of that woke left bubble to try to understand the opposite viewpoint it does look that way, patronising and self-righteous.

In much that same way that looking across to the right of the spectrum you see intolerance, hatred, constant denigration of 'lefty snowflakes' who frown upon PC. Unless they get called a gammon of course. Or perhaps when their racism is pointed out to them and they protest their innocence while refusing to condemn racism, and instead retort with whataboutery and waffle.

Hes posting to the wrong type of Middlesbrough fan in general on this board to want to effect their thoughts, and so are the same people.
The mere thought the he could come across as unbiased and in charge of the truth doesn't really wash. Hes probably a really nice man in a lot of ways I guess.
Perhaps COB or One Boro might be more fertile.

Exactly.... we seem to be living in an era where views are entrenched, argument is ad-hominem, respect is zero and it's coming from both sides.
I don't even support most of the posts I've made in this thread but find it interesting to watch how people react to them. Take the Veritas one... clearly propaganda with only circumstantial evidence but why is that enough if it supports your argument but not enough if it doesn't ?

Anyone can and does create youtube videos, it's not the best place for education. You were asked a question and didn't even bother highlighting which bits of it you agreed with or not, or backed it up with anything to prove it's veracity. I'll be kind and say it was a very lazy effort from you.

I accept the Veritas one is propaganda and I apologise for posting it and I've explained why I did above. It's not like I didn't admit to knowing who these guys were and what their history is, it's fairly common knowledge.
As for the Jimmy Dore one, I wouldn't call this propaganda in any sense, and to be fair you did dismiss it out of hand without any effort to justify why.

You're now admitting the veritas one was propoganda and you admit it, so why post it as your defence of your position?! Then complain that people find your views embarrassing?! So you are now admitting to being dishonest in debate rather than stupid, it really isn't putting yourself in a great light.

I'm not even left, I'm soft left. But I find facts and evidence, to be important, and propoganda is the enemy of that. That doesn't make me 'woke', I'm just interpreting the world through the known facts and questioning the propoganda

Look at my subsequent posts that compared this video with the NTY piece, I think I even said at some point that I found Trump despicable, which should have been enough to show that I'm not on the side of the right.
 
It's funny how riled up people get about the "woke left". Without even seeming like they're particularly sure what they're annoyed at.
